In Gethsemane, Jesus told His disciples to watch and pray—and they repeatedly fell asleep.
This passage is not simply a lesson about needing more sleep. It reveals the limits of human strength.
The disciples wanted to remain faithful, but desire alone was not enough. They needed dependence, prayer, and spiritual alertness.
Our bodies have limits. Our willpower has limits. Pretending otherwise does not make us stronger.
True strength includes recognizing our weakness and staying close to God.
Join us Thursday at 7:00 PM ET as we study Mark 14 together.

Many women are physically tired because they are emotionally and spiritually carrying too much.
Restorative rhythms begin when we recognize the difference between responsibility and control.
You can be faithful without being frantic.
You can be committed without being constantly depleted.
You can care deeply without carrying what belongs to God.
This week, ask yourself:
What am I responsible for—and what am I trying to control?

You may not need more discipline, more intensity, or another plan that asks you to push through exhaustion.
You may need to recover better.
Fatigue, irritability, persistent soreness, trouble concentrating, and declining workout performance are not always signs that you are lazy or unmotivated. They may be signs that your body is carrying more stress than it can currently recover from.
Your body is not failing you.
It is giving you information.
That is why I do not begin coaching by simply handing someone a hard workout.
Through assessment-led personal training, we look at how you move, what your body tolerates, where you feel strong, where you feel limited, and what your current lifestyle can realistically support.
Then we build from there.
Because progress does require challenge—but the right challenge, applied at the right time, with enough recovery to adapt.
You do not need punishment.
You need a thoughtful plan that meets you where you are and helps you grow stronger over time.

Sleep is an act of physical rest, but it can also become an act of spiritual surrender.
When we lie down, we acknowledge that God remains awake. He continues to work while we release what we cannot control.
This does not mean every night of sleep will be easy. It means we can bring our racing thoughts, unfinished responsibilities, and anxious hearts to the One who watches over us.
Reflection question:
What are you carrying into the night that God is inviting you to release?
Save this verse and read it before bed this week.

We often treat rest as something we are allowed to have only after everything is finished.
But the work is rarely completely finished.
Rest is not a reward for exhaustion. It is one of the ways we care for the body God entrusted to us.
This month, we are exploring Restorative Rhythms & Sleep Stewardship—learning how sleep, recovery, strength training, nourishment, and time with God work together.
You do not need another season of running yourself into the ground.
You need rhythms that help you remain present, faithful, and strong.
Comment RESTORE if you are ready to build healthier rhythms this month.

I’m learning that some of the deepest growth happens when we slow down enough to truly sit with God’s Word.
This fall, we’ll journey through James and Ruth—two books that beautifully complement one another.
📖 James calls us to a faith that is lived, tested, and transformed.
🌾 Ruth reminds us that God’s faithfulness is present even in seasons of uncertainty, loss, and waiting.
My prayer is that we won’t simply read these books, but that we’ll allow them to read us—to shape our hearts, strengthen our faith, and draw us closer to Jesus.
I’m looking forward to all that God has in store for this next season of Abide & Flow. 💛

If you've caught yourself saying...
"I just don't feel like myself anymore."
You're not alone.
For many women in midlife, it isn't just about the number on the scale.
It's waking up exhausted.
Not recognizing your body.
Feeling weaker.
Losing confidence.
Wondering why what used to work doesn't work anymore.
So you try harder.
Eat less.
Exercise more.
Start over.
Again.
But maybe the answer isn't trying harder.
Maybe your body is asking for a different approach.
Jesus said, "The one who endures to the end will be saved." (Mark 13:13)
Health in this season isn't about chasing intensity.
It's about faithful endurance. Consistent strength training. Intentional nutrition. Support from women walking the same road.
You aren't losing yourself.
You're rebuilding into the woman God is preparing you to become.
If you're ready for a wiser approach to fitness in menopause, StrongHER is starting our next cycle. It is the perfect time to join!

Menopause isn't a signal to do more. It's a signal to do what's wiser.
Many women believe they need to train harder, burn more calories, or push through exhaustion to lose weight during menopause.
The truth?
Your body is changing—but that doesn't mean it's broken.
Strength training isn't just about building muscle. It's about protecting the things that matter most in this season of life:
💪 Muscle
🦴 Bone health
⚡ Metabolism
🚶♀️ Independence
The goal isn't to punish your body.
The goal is to prepare it for the decades ahead.
If you're over 40, stop asking:
"How can I burn more calories?"
Start asking:
"How can I become stronger for life?"
That's the mindset we build inside StrongHer.
👇 What has menopause taught you about training differently?

Stay watchful over your body's signals.
Be steady in your training.
Remain faithful in your rest.
Strength isn't built through perfection. It's built through faithful consistency.
