This week we’re celebrating someone who has officially been part of our salon family for ONE YEAR — Mary! Mary | Licensed Nail Technician 💅🏼🤍

It’s been so much fun watching Mary grow over this past year—not only as a nail technician, but as a business owner. She is incredibly talented, loves what she does, and creates some seriously amazing nails. If you’ve seen her work, you know exactly what I’m talking about!

But one of my favorite things about Mary and her business is the experience she’s created inside her suite.

When you book with Mary, it’s your time. Her private suite gives you a space where you can relax, talk her ear off, bring a guest, sit quietly, or just enjoy a little time to yourself. There’s no judgment and no pressure—just a comfortable space where you can be yourself while she brings whatever nail idea you have in mind to life. 💕

And when it comes to nail ideas, Mary is always up for a challenge! Whether you come in knowing exactly what you want or need a little inspiration, she loves getting creative with her clients.

Mary specializes in Gel-X and also works with acrylic and builder gel upon request. She’s continuing to learn, perfect her craft, and build a career doing something she genuinely enjoys—and it has been pretty amazing getting to watch that happen right here at D & Company.

This is exactly why I started Meet the Woman Behind the Business. Behind every suite door is a woman working hard to build something of her own. There are goals, long days, creativity, relationships with clients, and so much heart that you don’t always get to see from the outside.

This week, I’m so excited for you to get to know Christi C. a little better. 🤍

Christi is one of those people who brings so much more to the salon than just her talent behind the chair. She’s sweet, hardworking, incredibly talented, and someone I’m genuinely grateful to have as part of our salon family.

If you know Christi, you know how much she loves what she does. She truly cares about the people who sit in her chair and wants every client to leave feeling beautiful, confident, and taken care of.

Christi is a licensed cosmetologist, licensed esthetician, and certified makeup artist, and she’s never stopped learning. From advanced cutting classes to training with multiple color lines, she continues to invest in herself and her craft so she can keep growing and giving her clients the very best.

But the part of Christi you may not get to see when you’re sitting in her chair is the woman she is when she leaves the salon.

She’s also Mom to twin girls. And like so many women in this industry, she’s balancing a career she loves with the family she loves even more.

She shows up for her clients, continues to work on her craft, builds her business, and then goes home to two little girls who get to watch their mom work hard at something she loves. And I think there’s something pretty special about that.

That’s what this series is all about—getting to know the woman behind the business, not just the service she provides.

We’re so excited to introduce one of the newest faces at D & Company — Nicole! 🤍

Nicole has been a licensed cosmetologist since 2007, but her journey in the beauty industry hasn’t been a straight line—and that’s part of what makes her story so special.

After stepping away from the industry to focus on raising her two children, Nicole knew that her love for beauty never really left her. Now, she’s stepping into a new chapter—one where she gets to focus on herself, rediscover her passion, and build something that’s truly her own.

Over the past year, she’s jumped right back into learning and growing, taking classes and expanding her skills in everything from spray tanning and eyelash extensions to advanced beauty techniques, all while building on nearly two decades of experience.

For Nicole, beauty is about so much more than how someone looks. It’s about helping people walk out the door feeling confident, beautiful, and a little more like themselves.

We couldn’t be happier to have Nicole beginning this next chapter here at D & Company, and we can’t wait for all of you to get to know her.

But what makes her business special goes beyond a beautiful set of nails—it’s the relationships she’s built, the loyal clients who continue to sit in her chair, and the welcoming experience she creates inside her private salon suite.

Being in this industry for 26+ years means Christina has watched trends come and go, techniques evolve, and the beauty industry change tremendously—and she continues to do what she loves while running a business of her own. 💕
