Starting life over at 42 after your spouse dies is weird. You have all kinds of emotions and you have to make sure everyone else is ok, especially if you have children. In my case we have 3 adult children and one 8 year old who I am now a solo parent to. Dating would be nice but in the sense of having someone care to know me or see me in that light… no it doesn’t mean I didn’t love my husband. No it doesn’t mean I’m over it. It just means I would like a chance to be seen as me and a person to enjoy time with 🫶🏽
Yes I know you probably mean well but everyone’s grief is different. Most days I just mask it and pretend to be fine so I can make it through the day. But please don’t tell me how to grieve while you’re going home to your breathing spouse/partner. Thank you

Happy 8th birthday to my favorite little person. You are the perfect combination of daddy and myself. You have the biggest heart and sweetest personality while being the sassiest person I know. I can’t wait to see where life takes you and all the adventures we will have. Here’s to being in 3 different states for your birthday! I love you baby girl 💙
