Do you value time? Do you value money? If your answer is “YES” to both questions, what if we could save you both? How, you ask? if you are a lash client, Lynk-Gel saves you time with longer lasting lash lashes which spaces out your lash fills and saves you money. If you are a lash artist, Lynk-Gel saves you time when your clients lash last longer. It allows your refill appointments to be spaced out giving you more time in between seeing your patrons to take on new clients. This gives you more time for leisure or more time to serve new clients and grow your business.

Have you ever looked REALLY close at a hummingbird? 🐦👀
Those tiny little lashes around their eyes! 😍
When I was naming our tweezers, the delicate shape and precision of this one reminded me of a hummingbird — from its long little beak to those surprisingly pretty lashes.
And that’s how our Hummingbird Tweezer got its name. 💜
Now every time you see a hummingbird, you’re going to look for its lashes. 😂

I took this photo back in 2018 and never posted it.

Why? Because I was being EXTRA OCD about my work. 😂 I saw those two lashes. 😭
Her natural lashes were long and grew very straight, and I could see two little natural lashes peeking out at the outer corners against the sand.

That was ALL I could see.
Never mind the beautiful client, lashes, the beautiful beach in the background.

Now, 8 years later, I look at this photo completely differently.
I wish I had celebrated it instead of picking it apart.

So here she is… 8 years later.
Two little lashes and all. 🤩
And honestly? I love this photo now.

Fellow lash artists — please tell me I’m not the only one who looks back at old work and thinks, “Why was I so hard on myself?” 👇

“Okay, open your eyes and look at the camera!”

😂 And you’re thinking, I just woke up.

(But apparently, I need to be CAMERA READY. )

Who else takes the BEST naps during their lash appointment? 😴

Since 2012, when I first started thinking about what I wished for with LED lashes, I knew what I wanted the technology to do but getting there definitely didn’t happen with one design. 😂

I only show what worked and what we could release but what you DON’T see are the tens of thousands of hours, countless designs, bad prototypes and revisions that never made it.

Some worked. Some didn’t. Some looked great on paper and didn’t work the way I wanted once we built them. And some were changed over and over again until we got closer to what I envisioned.

That’s invention.
Trial. Mistakes. Testing. Listening. Improving.

Then doing it all over again.

Your feedback has helped me continue improving this technology, and I truly appreciate all of you who have supported me and Lynk-Gel® since the beginning. 🥹

And we’re still evolving.

For over a year, I’ve been working closely with our engineer developing Lynk-Gel® 5.0. There has been a LOT happening behind the scenes, and I can’t wait until I can finally show you what we’ve been working on. 👀

From the original Gel-Lys to Lynk-Gel® 1.0 → 2.0 → 3.0 → 4.0 → and now 5.0…

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. 🙏

A few years after the copycat devices started showing up, we lost a major esthetician insurance company’s coverage for Lynk-Gel® lash services. Don’t worry, they are still covering your traditional eyelash extensions, facials, microblading, waxing, and even lash lifts but because of concerns surrounding LED lash lamps being used at the wrong power setting, at the wrong distance, and for the wrong amount of time… (risks associated with it) they stopped covering ALL “LED lash services” even ours, after protecting our certified esthicians and lash artists for 4 years.

So I’m going to share how LED light isn’t automatically safe simply because it’s marketed for eyelash extensions. Safety depends on how that specific device was independently tested and whether it’s being used according to those exact testing conditions.

For the lash clients, you have every right to ask your artist:

💡 What power setting are you using - low or high?
📏 What working distance was the device tested at?
⏱️ What is the permitted exposure time for that lamp?
📄 Can I see the independent photobiological safety report?
🛡️ Does your professional insurance specifically cover this LED lash service and device?

Lash artists should understand their equipment, follow its tested operating conditions, and confirm that their insurance provides appropriate coverage.

If you receive a safety report and don’t understand it, share it with me. I’ll help you identify what it actually says: including the tested power setting, distance, exposure time, measurements, and risk-group classification. 😘 For Certified Lynk-Gel® Lash Artists using the complete system, I found a great insurance company offering comprehensive coverage at an affordable price. DM me, and I’ll share the company’s information with you. 👎 NO! I don’t receive any money or commission from this insurance company. I’m sharing it solely to support responsible business owners who understand that every service carries risks and proper coverage matters.

🎉 A HUGE win for protecting illumino innovation!

I’m excited to share that Alibaba.com has rejected the seller’s counter-notices and removed 49 product listings following our intellectual property complaints involving the Lynk-Gel® LED lash technology!

So this seller’s listings felt personal, why? Because as the founder and inventor behind LED eyelash extensions, I’ve put so many years of research, development, investment, and persistence into bringing our LED technology to market.

Having an idea is one thing but to actual create it, develop it, invest in it, and then to PROTECT it all the while others try to commercialize similar technology without licensing is a whole different story.

I’m so grateful to everyone who helped document and pursue these complaints. It takes a lot of work behind the scenes & I appreciate the ability to learn from this.

We’re going to keep protecting what we’ve worked so hard to build, while continuing to focus on what we love... advancing professional lash technology, education, and safety-focused innovation.

A special thank you to US Inventor for showing support for “us” inventors and advocating for inventors. Having an organization that understands what inventors go through and stands up for us means so much. 🙏

Shoutout to fellow inventors for showing support BTS to Molly Metz and Lotti from Lashify®

To my fellow inventors: getting a patent is a huge milestone, but protecting your invention doesn’t stop there. Keep going, keep documenting, and keep standing up for your hard work!

49 listings removed. The work continues! 💪

“But isn’t that light too close to the eye?” 👀

Good eye! 😉 That’s a great question, let’s back it up with actual safety testing… not just assumptions!

Our Lynk-Gel® device was tested under ANSI/IES RP-27 at a working distance of 1.2 cm from the eyelid, with the eye closed, which is how the device is intended to be used. 📄

So what does this mean for lash artists and clients?

🎯 Proper setup matters. This is one of the reasons we encourage hands-on training! We show you how to position the patented Lynk-Gel® device’s LED gooseneck so the light is pinpointed through your isolation tweezer and directed at the lash attachment.

👁️ Keep those eyes closed. Clients should keep their eyes closed during curing, and lash artists should follow the intended-use instructions.

⚡ Use the correct exposure time. Follow your Lynk-Gel® training and device instructions rather than guessing.

📄 Ask for the actual safety reports. Not all LED lash lamps are the same, and the distance and conditions used during testing matter.

Just because a light looks close doesn’t automatically mean it’s dangerous — but distance alone doesn’t prove it’s safe, either. The type of light, its output, how long it’s on, and where it’s aimed all make a difference.

We believe lash artists and clients deserve to know what the testing actually shows. That’s why we invest in independent safety testing and education.
