Just a conservative combo brow. Not a dramatic transformation or a bold new style because a simple enhancement is all that most clients need.
Permanent makeup in Kingman AZ for clients who are all about subtle enhancement over trends.
This is absolutely correct! Under eye concealer tattoo is a terrible idea!
I don't like bashing, other permanent makeup artists, but I am going to call out anybody providing this service. I will trash talk all day about it because it is hands down an unethical, dangerous and reckless procedure.
No permanent makeup artist with any amount of experience is offering this service.
It heals incredibly chalky and discoloration is guaranteed. It goes typically yellow because of the high titanium dioxide levels in this type of pigment. Titanium dioxide pigments should only be used in moderation.
I have never once seen this service age well. I have seen dozens of clients come in in hopes of getting it corrected because they are devastated by the healed aftermath. It doesn't get better with age. It gets worse. I cannot cover it up or remove it.
There are very few laser technicians who are willing to touch that area. Laser carries a high risk of paradoxical darkening, where the white or flesh-toned ink (titanium dioxide) permanently turns gray, black, or dark blue!
Run, run, run if you’re pmu artist is offering this.

🚨 OLD EYEBROW TATTOO COVER-UP? Realistic expectations are key. 🚨
Eyebrow tattoo cover-up or permanent makeup correction.
No, it's not a "touch-up. 💐
This client came to me with older, traditionally tattooed eyebrows created with a carbon-loaded pigment. Her previous shape was very thin, with rounded, bulbous heads and a solid-filled appearance.
They're dated and faded!
She wanted to keep her brows relatively thin while making them just a little fuller, modernizing the shape, and—if her existing tattoo allowed it—adding some hairstrokes she sees online for a more natural appearance.
The good news? Her old pigment was not oversaturated.
Her skin was able to safely accept additional pigment, and her expectations worked within the limitations of the existing tattoo. That allowed me to create a permanent eyebrow cover-up without requiring removal first.
🌸 Here’s what everyone with old permanent makeup needs to understand:
A cover-up does not erase the old tattoo.
We are strategically adding new pigment to correct, neutralize, camouflage, reshape, or improve what is already underneath.
That old pigment still matters—and it determines what we can realistically accomplish.
For example, if this client had wanted eyebrows lighter or thinner than her existing tattoo, removal would have been necessary first. You cannot simply tattoo a lighter pigment over a darker tattoo and expect the darker pigment underneath to disappear.
This is why determining whether you are a candidate for an eyebrow tattoo cover-up in Kingman, Arizona involves much more than simply looking at the color of your old brows.
I also have to consider:
💐 How much pigment is already in the skin
💐 Whether the existing pigment is saturated
💐 The current shape and placement
💐 The condition of the skin
💐 The color and type of residual pigment
💐 Your desired new shape, thickness and color
💐 Whether your expectations are achievable without removal
Sometimes a cover-up is absolutely possible. Sometimes removal really is the best—or only—option.
Starting with a completely clean canvas after removal can give us considerably more freedom. However, many clients understandably don't want to spend months going through multiple tattoo-removal sessions if their existing permanent makeup can be successfully modified.
When the skin can accept additional pigment and the client's desired result works with what is already there, a carefully planned cover-up or correction may be an excellent alternative.
But when old permanent makeup is extremely dark, heavily saturated, poorly positioned, or simply incompatible with the client's desired result, adding more pigment isn't the answer. Removal needs to come first.
🌸 Have old permanent eyebrows and wondering whether they can be covered?
The only way for me to accurately determine whether you're a candidate for a permanent makeup cover-up or eyebrow correction is through an in-person consultation.
I have years of experience in permanent makeup and medical aesthetics and specialize in conservative, natural-looking permanent makeup, including challenging pre-existing eyebrow work and corrections.

💐 Permanent Eyebrow Cover-Up in Kingman, Arizona 💐
Can old permanent makeup be covered? Sometimes—and this client was a great candidate.
She had residual carbon from previous eyebrow tattooing, but fortunately, her brows were not overly saturated and her skin was still able to accept new pigment.
For her correction, I created a soft combination brow—a beautifully blended powder finish with strategically placed hairstrokes sprinkled throughout. The hairstrokes blend with her natural brow hair, while the soft shading helps camouflage the older permanent makeup underneath. The result is a more natural, balanced and dimensional eyebrow. 🌸
One of the questions I hear frequently is, “Can you just touch up my brows if someone else did them?”
When permanent makeup was performed by another artist, it generally isn't simply a touch-up. We are working with existing pigment, an existing shape and potentially multiple layers of old color. That makes it a cover-up or corrective permanent makeup procedure.
How we approach it depends entirely on what is already in the skin.
If there is only moderate residual pigment and the skin can safely accept more color, a powder brow or combination brow may be an excellent option. If the old brows have shifted in color, we may need to perform color correction or neutralization. If they are extremely dark or oversaturated, adding more pigment may not be appropriate at all—in those cases, fading or removal may need to come first.
More pigment is not always the answer. A proper assessment matters.
If you have pre-existing permanent eyebrows, microblading, powder brows or nano brows from another provider, I require an in-person consultation before providing a quote or recommending a procedure. Consultations are complimentary.
This allows me to evaluate your skin, the amount and color of pigment remaining, the existing shape and whether your brows are suitable for a cover-up—or whether correction or removal would give you a better foundation first.

🌸 MY CREDENTIALS — AND WHY THEY MATTER IN ARIZONA 🌸
Here’s something many clients are surprised to learn:
Arizona does not have a statewide licensing board specifically regulating permanent makeup or tattoo artists.
That means choosing a permanent makeup artist in Arizona requires a little more homework. Experience, education, professional credentials and verifiable training matter.
Pretty much my entire adult life and career has been in medical aesthetics and permanent makeup, I have quite a story to tell. 💐
I began my career as a licensed aesthetician and medical assistant working in a plastic surgery center/medical spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was there that I began my permanent makeup education through an apprenticeship as well.
My background in medical aesthetics gave me an incredible foundation for permanent makeup. I actually began in paramedical tattooing, performing ar**la repigmentation for breast reconstruction patients and surgical scar camouflage under my supervising physician.
This was long before permanent makeup became the social-media industry it is today.
After approximately eight years in Arizona, I moved from Scottsdale to Las Vegas, where I continued working in medical aesthetics and permanent makeup.
For 11 years, I owned a medical spa offering medical aesthetic services, permanent makeup and professional training. Eventually, I sold the medical spa because I wanted to concentrate exclusively on the part of the industry I loved most: permanent makeup and education.
I opened a dedicated Permanent Makeup Clinic & Academy, and today I continue to work in Las Vegas while also operating my new Arizona location.
🌸 MORE THAN 20 YEARS WORKING UNDER SOUTHERN NEVADA'S REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS
Southern Nevada has extensive health-district requirements governing tattoo and permanent makeup establishments, artists, apprentices and mentors.
I have maintained my permanent makeup credentials in Southern Nevada for more than 20 years.
I also went through the application and approval process to become a licensed/approved Permanent Makeup Mentor, allowing me to train apprentices through my Las Vegas academy.
My involvement in education goes beyond teaching procedures.
I developed a Bloodborne Pathogens Certification course designed to meet Southern Nevada Health District licensing requirements, which has been taken by aspiring tattoo and permanent makeup artists preparing for the licensing and apprenticeship process.
🌸 BOARD CERTIFIED. APPROVED TRAINER. VERIFIABLE CREDENTIALS.
I am SPCP Board Certified in Permanent Cosmetics (CPCP) and an SPCP Approved Permanent Makeup Trainer.
Throughout my career, I have completed multiple apprenticeships and advanced trainings, along with master classes, workshops and continuing education.
And education doesn't stop because you've been doing something for decades.
Continuing education is part of maintaining my professional certification—and after 28 years, I am still learning.
My SPCP professional and trainer credentials are verifiable through the SPCP member directory.
That is something I encourage clients to do with any professional credential an artist advertises:
Verify it.
Don't be afraid to ask where someone trained, how long they trained, how many years they have actually worked in permanent makeup, what certifications they hold and whether those credentials can be independently verified.
🌸 A CAREER SHAPED BY THE WOMEN WHO BUILT THIS INDUSTRY
I have also been incredibly fortunate throughout my career to have been influenced by some of the pioneering women of permanent cosmetics.
Mary Ann Arnold, RN, Susan Church and Dr. Linda Dixon are among the educators and industry legends whose knowledge and teaching had a profound influence on me.
These women were helping establish standards and advance permanent cosmetics long before brows became something you watched being transformed in a 30-second social media reel.
They helped put permanent makeup on the map.
Their emphasis on education, safety, professionalism and technique helped shape the artist and educator I became.
🌸 AND YES... THERE'S A TROPHY ON THE SHELF TOO.
In 2019, I was voted Best of Las Vegas. 💐
I'm proud of that recognition—but I'm even more proud of the nearly three decades of education, experience and professional development behind it.
Because permanent makeup isn't simply about making a beautiful eyebrow.
We are implanting pigment into human skin.
Understanding skin, pigment chemistry, color theory, sanitation, bloodborne pathogens, contraindications, wound healing, scar tissue, mature skin and proper technique matters just as much as knowing how to create a beautiful shape.
A lifetime later, I still take that responsibility very seriously.
So, when you're searching for permanent makeup in Kingman, Arizona, don't choose your artist based solely on a beautiful Instagram photo.
Ask about their education.
Ask about their experience.
Ask about their credentials.
And verify them.
Arizona does not have and state board permanent makeup regulating PMU or tattoos, deciding who is qualified to work on your face. They don't even regulate on a more local level (county or city).
That makes it even more important for YOU to know who is holding the machine. 🌸🩷💐

🌸 SOFT. SMOLDERING. TIMELESS. 🌸
A razor-sharp liquid liner with a crisp, dramatic wing can be gorgeous—but it isn’t the look every woman wants.
For clients who prefer something softer, more sophisticated, and beautifully blended, this is one of my absolute favorite permanent eyeliner styles. 🩷
Instead of creating a hard, defined line, I layered a deep black-brown through the lash line for beautiful definition, then softly blended it outward with a slightly lighter brown. The result is a subtle, smoky effect that enhances the eyes without looking harsh or overly “done.”
This client has blond eyelash tips and a hard liquid liner look would only make that more obvious.
And this is exactly why I love this style so much: it is designed to soften beautifully over time. Rather than relying on a crisp wing or an ultra-sharp edge, the shaded finish creates a classic look that remains elegant as the pigment gradually fades.
Think less liquid eyeliner and more effortlessly polished, softly smudged luxury. 🌸
It defines the lash line. It makes the lashes appear fuller. It enhances the eyes without overpowering them.
Classic. Feminine. Sophisticated. And beautifully understated. 💐🩷
For me, this is permanent eyeliner at its most elegant.
