🔥 First burn: Let the candle burn long enough for the melt pool to reach the edges of the vessel. This helps prevent tunneling and gives you a more even burn in future.

✂️ Trim the wick: Before each burn, trim the wick to about ¼ inch. A tidy wick means a steadier flame, less soot, and a cleaner candle experience.

🏜️ Why concrete + amber glass? We choose vessels that feel as good as they look. Concrete brings a grounded, substantial feel inspired by the desert landscape, while amber glass adds timeless warmth and helps protect the candle from excess light. Each vessel is selected with beauty, function, and your everyday ritual in mind.

Here’s our honest take: tallow isn’t a miracle ingredient, and it won’t be right for every skin type. But it is a time-tested, ancestral ingredient with naturally occurring fatty acids and skin-supportive properties that can leave skin feeling nourished, soft, and comforted.

We chose responsibly sourced beef tallow because we believe in thoughtful ingredients, less waste, and formulations that feel at home in a simple, intentional routine. We work with tallow sourced from beef raised for food: not made solely for skincare: and we use it carefully in our small-batch butter lotion.

No hype. No “one product fixes everything.” Just a slow-made formula rooted in tradition, transparency, and a little Nevada desert soul. 🌵
