My lovely client came to me in when her acne had reached a point where she felt like she could no longer figure it out on her own.

We started with biweekly acne bootcamp treatments, a curated, consistent home care routine, and adjusted along the way based on what her skin needed.

Now that her active acne is under control, we’ve shifted our focus.

We’re currently working through a series of microneedling treatments to support collagen remodeling, healing, and soften the appearance of the scarring left behind. Clearing the acne was the first chapter. Now we get to work on what it left behind.

If you’ve been trying to figure your skin out on your own and feel like you’ve hit a wall, you don’t have to keep guessing. We can figure it out together. Book an appointment through the link in my bio to start your journey. 🤍

If your skin is chronically dry, adding more hydrating serums may not be addressing what it’s actually missing.

Dry skin is lipid deficient, meaning it lacks the oil and lipids that help keep the barrier supple, protected, and able to hold onto water. Without enough lipids, water escapes more easily through the skin. This contributes to a process of increased transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

So the remedy isn’t just more hydration. It’s replenishing what the skin is missing and helping it hold onto the hydration it already has.

Look for lipid replenishing and barrier supportive ingredients like ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids, alongside emollients and occlusives that help reduce water loss.

If you’ve been troubleshooting your routine on your own and can’t seem to get it right, this is something we can address together during your next appointment. 🤍

The power of CBD 🌿

CBD has been one of my favorite staples in my skincare routine for years because of it has genuinely transformed my skin.

As a powerful antioxidant, it helps neutralize free radicals and reduce the oxidative stress that contributes to premature aging, collagen breakdown, and inflammation. It also helps calm the skin, strengthen the barrier, replenish moisture, and support a healthier inflammatory response, making it one of my favorite ingredients for reactive, sensitized, or acne prone skin.

One of the reasons I continue reaching for these formulas from GlyMed is because they’re thoughtfully formulated to deliver CBD where it can actually benefit the skin.

My favorites:

• CBD Soothing Serum: for inflamed acne, impaired barriers, rosacea, redness, or skin that’s simply feeling overwhelmed. It helps calm visible irritation while supporting hydration and balancing excess oil production.

• CBD Regenerative Eye Cream: one of my favorite eye treatments for tired, delicate eyes. It hydrates without feeling heavy, helps soften the appearance of fine lines, reduces the look of puffiness, and calms inflammation around one of the thinnest areas of the face. It’s especially beautiful for dry, sensitive, or mature skin.

Healthy skin starts with understanding what it truly needs. If you’re curious whether CBD would benefit your skin, let’s talk about it at your next appointment. You can also find both of these favorites in the studio or at saceaesthetics.com

Progress✨

These photos were taken just over three months apart (April 20 → July 27). Through consistent Acne Bootcamp treatments every two weeks and a personalized homecare routine, we’ve focused on calming inflammation before moving on to the next step.

Now that her skin is healthier and more stable, we’ll begin a series of microneedling treatments to refine texture, soften acne scarring, and continue changing the behavior of the skin over time.

If you’re struggling with your skin and don’t know where to start, my DMs are always open 🤍

you can have the right products, the right treatments, the right routine and still feel like your skin isn’t responding.

sometimes the missing piece isn’t what you’re using, it’s how well your body is able to repair.
