✨ RED LIGHT + CUPPING = the ultimate recovery combo ✨
Pairing red light therapy with cupping is one of my favorite ways to give the body a little extra TLC. 🧜🏼♀️
🔴 Red light therapy supports circulation, muscle recovery & relaxation
🤍 Cupping helps release muscular tension, improve mobility & increase local blood flow
✨ Together, they’re the perfect addition when your body is feeling tight, tired, or overworked.
And the best part? Red light therapy is included with every massage at Desert Mermaid Massage 💆🏻♀️🌊
Your massage is always customized to what YOUR body needs that day.

Your lymphatic system does a LOT behind the scenes. 💜
Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a gentle, intentional technique designed to encourage lymph flow, reduce fluid retention and swelling, and support your body’s natural processes.
And while regular lymphatic drainage and post-op lymphatic drainage have similarities, they aren’t the same thing.
Post-op lymphatic drainage is specifically adapted for the healing body following surgery. The pressure, technique, areas treated, and timing are all approached differently, with your surgeon’s recommendations and your stage of recovery in mind.
✨ Lymphatic drainage may help with:
• Swelling & fluid retention
• Puffiness & bloating
• Supporting healthy lymphatic circulation
• Relaxation and nervous-system support
• Post-surgical swelling when medically appropriate
Whether you’re looking for general lymphatic support or navigating your post-op recovery, your session is customized to your body and your needs. 🧜♀️

Post-op massage is supportive care and does not replace medical treatment. Always follow your surgeon’s post-operative instructions.

🧜🏻♀️✨ LET’S TALK CUPPING MARKS! ✨🐚
Ever wonder why some cupping marks are light pink while others are deep purple? 👀
Cupping marks can vary in color and intensity depending on your skin, the amount of suction used, and how your body responds to treatment.
💜 Remember: Darker marks don’t necessarily mean more toxins, more tension, or a better treatment!
Cupping is one of my favorite ways to help relieve muscle tension, promote relaxation, and encourage blood flow. And YES, those little circles are temporary! 🫶🏼
Every body responds differently, and every session at Desert Mermaid Massage is customized to YOU. 🧜🏻♀️
✨ Have you experienced cupping therapy yet? Would you try it?

Massage isn’t just a luxury, it’s time intentionally set aside for your body to recover. 🤍
Some days your body needs deeper, focused work. Other days it needs slow, calming touch and a chance to completely relax.
That’s why I don’t believe in giving every client the exact same massage.
Every session is customized to what YOUR body needs that day. From pressure and techniques to the areas we spend the most time on.
After 20+ years as a massage therapist, one thing I know for sure: sometimes the best thing you can do for your body is give it permission to slow down. 🧜♀️.
Have a Good Monday everyone 🫶🏼🥰

✨ Studio Update ✨
Just a little heads up! 💜 I will be out of the studio September 3rd–9th for some much needed time away.
If you’ve been thinking about booking a massage, Japanese Head Spa, or lymphatic drainage session, August is filling up quickly, and my schedule is booking faster than usual! I highly recommend reserving your appointment now to make sure you get the day and time that works best for you before I leave.
Thank you all so much for keeping me busy and for supporting my small business✨ It truly means the world to me.
✨ The glutes are one of the most powerful muscle groups in the body, and one of the most overlooked.
Tight glutes can contribute to discomfort in the hips, low back, and even down the legs. That’s why therapeutic glute work is an important part of many treatment plans.
This technique is performed professionally over the sheet, allowing me to address muscle tension while keeping you comfortable throughout your session.
Massage isn’t just about relaxation, it’s about helping your body move, feel, and function better.
Ready to give your body the care it deserves?
