Keyhla No Camina Sola 💛

This 5K is so much more than an event to me. This one is personal. As a mother, as Keyhla’s friend, and as a friend of the Jaime family, my heart is deeply invested in what this family is walking through.

There are moments when a community is called to do more than simply show support with words. We are called to show up, to stand beside one another, to carry one another through the hardest seasons, and to remind a family that they are not facing this fight alone.

Keyhla is showing incredible strength, courage, and resilience, and now it is our turn to surround her and her family with that same strength. I am asking our Rio Bravo community, our friends, our families, and everyone whose heart has ever been touched by someone battling cancer to please join us for the Keyhla No Camina Sola 5K.

Come walk. Come run. Come pray. Come support. Come simply stand beside this beautiful young woman and the Jaime family.

Because on Saturday, October 17, every step we take will carry a message louder than words:

Keyhla, no caminas sola. Your community is walking with you. Your community is fighting with you. And your community is believing with you. 💛

This is Clarissa “Claire” Cardenas, who started as my client 4 years ago and, throughout the years, has become one of my best friends. 🩵

She is someone I truly admire. She is determined and will do anything to accomplish what she believes is right and anything she sets her mind to.

She is someone who lights up a room no matter how dark it may be—and if there isn’t light, she’ll find a way to make it bright. ✨

I truly believe she is a strong woman who, despite whatever she might be going through, never gives up and continues to care for others.
