Sometimes, the most relaxing thing you can hear is nothing at all. I'm now offering Silent Massage as a FREE enhancement! I love chatting with my clients, but I also understand that sometimes you just want to relax without conversation.

Sensory care isn't always about adding stimulation. Sometimes it's about reducing it. Whether you're overstimulated, socially exhausted, or simply craving some peace and quiet, this option is for you.

You can choose music or complete quiet, and we'll discuss your preferences before your session. I'll still check in briefly about pressure and comfort, but otherwise, there's no expectation of conversation.

Ready for some quiet time? Book your next massage and select Silent Massage as your complimentary enhancement! No explanation necessary.

When stress creates doubt, overthinking, or a sense of urgency, finding a little mental clarity can be challenging. Aromatherapy offers one way to create a moment of pause, allowing us to slow down, gather our thoughts, and reconnect with our own judgment.

Certain aromas have traditionally been associated with clarity, intuition, and grounding. Rosemary has a bright, herbal scent often associated with mental alertness and focus. Frankincense has a warm, resinous aroma frequently used in meditation and reflective practices. Cedarwood brings a comforting, earthy quality that many people associate with stability and feeling grounded.

Together, these aromas complement this week's exploration of the Third Eye, Throat, and Solar Plexus chakras, connecting insight, self expression, and personal confidence. Aromatherapy can become part of a personal ritual that sets the tone for our intentions, creating space for quiet reflection and allowing us to become more receptive to our own intuition.

Remember, aromatherapy is personal. An aroma that helps one person feel centered might be distracting or unpleasant to someone else. Finding what works for your own senses is part of the experience.

Stress has a way of making us question things we might otherwise feel confident about. It can create a sense of urgency, encourage overthinking, and leave us looking for reassurance from others instead of trusting our own judgment. This week's theme of Integration and Inner Authority connects the Third Eye, Throat, and Solar Plexus chakras, representing our ability to recognize what we know, express what we need, and feel confident in our decisions.

Sometimes managing stress means giving ourselves permission to slow down and reconnect with something comforting. For cat lovers, that might be spending time with a purring feline. The gentle sound and vibration of purring can be a wonderfully soothing sensory experience, helping us settle into the present moment without needing to solve anything right away.

That's one reason I wanted to give a little love to Constellation Cat Cafe in Lansing! They offer an opportunity to spend time with rescue cats, enjoy a little feline companionship, and perhaps even meet your next family member. I shared their newest adoptable cats earlier, so be sure to take a look. Sometimes a little coffee, a comfortable chair, and a cat who decides you're worthy of their attention are exactly the kind of stress management we need.

Good to know. So many different kinds of Frankincense

🌿 Aromatic Spotlight: Frankincense
(Boswellia spp.)

Frankincense has been valued for centuries across religious, cultural, medicinal, and aromatic traditions. But “frankincense” doesn't refer to just one plant. Different Boswellia species can produce resins with distinct chemical profiles and characteristics.

Research on frankincense essential oil is also beginning to explore its potential in clinical settings. A 2026 randomized controlled trial found that frankincense aromatherapy significantly reduced anxiety and pain during prostate biopsy. Importantly, the study compared separate frankincense, lavender, and placebo groups, so the finding cannot be attributed to a blend.

Sourcing matters, too. Frankincense is largely wild-harvested, and harvesting practices can affect the health and regeneration of Boswellia trees. For consumers and practitioners alike, knowing the species, origin, and sourcing practices can help us make more informed choices.

What interests you most about frankincense: its history, chemistry, research, or sustainability?
