Had such a splendid time connecting with and working on fellow humans that I completely forgot to take pictures 🤦‍♀️

This day is offered every few months and is such a great way to meet new friends, try new things, and give yourself a little TLC.

What a great way to spend a day.
First I learned how to make cake balls, and made a feeble attempt.

Then I got to learn all about Werewolf Lore from local historian and folklorist Rissa Miller.

Solid day.

The final decant of light sparks
A virescent fire.
Her vision kindled to a blaze.
She sees beyond
The wood and the hedge.
Long after the sun sets,
Her eyes are torches
In the deep dark of night.

She moves through the shadows.

Do you follow?

Golden hour illuminates her face.
It's nearly time.
Her sovereignty is in shadow, where the work is done.
The mortar and pestle sit at her feet, symbols of integration, for grinding experience, lessons, hopes, dreams, fears, and every emotion into the finest of powders.
Blended so well that it's impossible to see the separation of light and dark.
An amalgamation of all that she is and will ever be.
Here she pauses, to breathe in the liminal dusk.
She knows.
Her reign is about to begin.

She beckons.
She conjures.
She binds.

What will you do when the deep woods call and the sun dips low?

She stands at the threshold, but she will not wait forever.
