Documenting the miles 🏃🏼♀️ and the meals 💪🏼
No literally the hair strands that stick to the back of my neck during a run drive me MAD 🤪
Try this instead if you’re the same way!
140 lbs down and one of the things I looked forward to most was being able to do things like this again (and this was after a 2 mile run on a Saturday morning)🙌🏼
Climb. Run around. Get on the playground equipment. Say yes to “simple” things without wondering if my body could handle it. So when my son asked me to play with him at the park today, I took the opportunity to actually PLAY.
And yes I know my shorts are too big, I’m working on changing an entire wardrobe ok 🤣

Morning run with the oldest at his pace 🏃🏼♀️
First outdoor one in probably a month. Between my back, life and focusing on gym/indoor treadmill conditioning I put them on the back burner. But they really are so good for my mind and setting up the rest of the day 💗 We did our miles and then played at the park ☀️
TW for the last picture. I felt a pain around my toes on my left foot during the run but pushed through. Did not realize I was bleeding 🤪 I think my toenail cut me during but who knows 🤷🏼♀️
How are you moving this weekend??

Just a little maintenance update 😊
Holding steady between 179–180 so far.
I’m in week 2 of eating at maintenance instead of staying in a calorie deficit and overall I’m feeling pretty good about it. Of course, there are still some anxious thoughts I’m working through. It’s a big mental adjustment to eat a little more and not immediately feel like I need to compensate for it or get back into a deficit.
I think some of that goes deeper than just the weight loss itself. Growing up, especially in the early 2000s, we were exposed to so many messages about what our bodies were supposed to look like. It’s easy to start attaching your worth to your appearance without even realizing it. When so much of your life has been spent wanting to change your body, learning to feel good where you are while still working toward the things you want takes time.
For me, that’s what this phase is really about. Weight loss is no longer the goal, but that doesn’t mean I’m done working toward things I want for myself. I still have plenty of goals, I’m just learning how to work toward them without needing the number on the scale to keep getting smaller.
It’s@kind of crazy to say that this is the first time in my adult life I’m not chasing a smaller number. It feels good to finally have room to focus on everything else I want to accomplish too. 🦋🤍
It’s honestly just rude 🤣 (I’m still going to do it though)
Ladder
I didn’t expect this part to feel so complicated.
For so long, losing weight was always the goal. Since I was 10 years old. Even when I wasn’t actively dieting, I was still thinking about it. The next number. The next size. How much more I could lose.
And now I’m here… and I’m not trying to lose weight.
I have loose skin that I don’t always love. I still have days where I pick myself apart. I still catch myself wondering if I should lose a little more, just because that’s what I’ve always done.
But there isn’t a number I’m chasing right now.
And weirdly, I don’t really know what to do with that?
Changing your body and changing the way you see yourself are two completely different things.
Maybe some of you know exactly what I mean.
Anyways. These are just some of today’s thoughts as I navigate this next maintenance and skin removal chapter. I’m human. I’m learning. I’m evolving. And I’m glad you guys are here with me. 💖
