Seeking Kokua

UPDATE @ 8:45p: For those asking about donations, we just received this from one of the families:

“Aloha!
Thank you so much for your kind words and putting up your post. We are one of the families that lost our home today in the fire. My husband and I have 5 kids the ages 7,6,5,4 and 8 months. We have been having so many people reach out to us donating whatever they can and we really really appreciate it. We lost everything in the fire so any kind of donations will help us right now.”

When we asked about clothes sizes, they responded, “For the kids, 8 girl, 6girl, 5T girl and 4 boy and 8month baby girl.”

If you are willing to donate, please send us a private message and we will respond with the name of contact person, their phone number and a donation drop off address. Mahalo Maui!

UPDATE @ 8:07p: We just learned that multiple homes were impacted and there are at least two families who lost their homes entirely. Details on donation spots will be shared as soon as we know more. Hang tight, gang. Everything is still fresh for them.

Friends, neighbors and family of the ohana that lost their home in today’s structure fire in Lahaina. If the family needs anything, please send us a private message so we can put up a post and mobilize the community. If there’s one thing we learned a few years ago is that Lahaina takes care of its own. The movement proved it.

Well, this pandemic has made us and there are offers from all over the island willing to help. Please let us know what is needed and so we can help coordinate the community members who want to love on this family. ❤️

Mahalo for any consideration!!🙏🏽💕

is tomorrow! Stewardship is a fundamental part of Waiola Church's success in the community. The giving that has occurred over the years has allowed the church to reach out and be a cornerstone of the Lahaina community for nearly 200 years.

On this we ask you to donate to Waiola Church in order to continue the good work we have been a part of like Waiola Church's Resource Hub during the 2018 Fires & Floods; Our Annual Free Trunk or Treat; 2018 TropicCare Healthcare Week; and the Mission Committee's Blessing Bags.

Facebook will be matching all funds made tomorrow on a first come, first serve basis to the first $7 million. We would love for YOU and Waiola to be a part of that charitable offer, doubling your efforts with ease!

Please visit our website for more information about Waiola Church: www.waiolachurch.com

Mahalo for all your support throughout the years!

Today and everyday it’s about others....praying for all🙏🏽
