AVRMC is teaming up with Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. for a fun and informative Know Your Lemons Lemonade Social focused on breast health awareness and education.

Join us on Tuesday, October 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the AVRMC Clinical Annex Lobby for:
- Breast health educational materials and handouts
- Giveaways
- Snacks
- Lemonade
- Helpful information about breast health and local resources

This event is free and open to the community, so stop by, bring a friend, and take a little time to learn more about breast health in a relaxed, welcoming setting. 💛

Oh Fall, where did you go?🍁🎃 We were loving the cooler day temperatures and rain.☔️ Now, we’re back in the upper 80’s to 90’s. We even put away the Summer clothes!👙 🤷🏼‍♀️ Oh well, at least we can still decorate for Fall and we have some cute and unique things at the Gift Shop! Lots of Fall styles and colors, which are definitely a favorite!

✨Senior Sunday Spotlight✨

World Mental Health Day is observed on Oct. 10 and encourages conversations about mental health, access to care, and support for people of every age.

Older adulthood can bring grief, caregiving changes, new health concerns, reduced independence, and changes in daily routines. These experiences can affect mood, sleep, energy, and connection with others.

Checking in with an older loved one can begin with a caring question: “How have you been feeling lately?” Listening with patience can help someone feel supported and may open the door to additional care when needed.

Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center’s Senior Life Solutions provides outpatient mental health services for older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, and other emotional or behavioral health concerns. Services include group therapy, individual therapy, psychiatric evaluation, and medication management.
