Brunettes need maintenance too.
Highlight, glaze and root shadow keep it elevated.
Feeling strawberry?
I've been exploring strawberry shades lately. I like them not too orangey, not too pumpkin.
I like to keep golden blonde throughout to keep it soft.
I did it all: highlights, root shadow, toner. This is definitely not your momma's color.
A little part of the process. I like to get blendy with it.
I did highlights, tease lights, toner, everything. This creates a balayage look that grows out seamlessly.
She only has to visit the salon 2-3 times a year.

No toner. This is simply lots of foils and clean lift.
She is absolutely radiant with her natural hair color.
She got tired of the maintenance of dark color that would fade brassy.
Gray transitions are NOT A ONE AND DONE SERVICE, they still need toner while the previously colored hair is growing out as it often fades yellow.
It typically takes a YEAR OR MORE TO BE ENTIRELY MAINTENANCE FREE.
Most people still enjoy the shine of a toner and continue to get them to enhance the gray.
This is her right after a toner and cut.
This isn't your mother's gray coverage.
Ammonia free = no harsh or overly warm growout.
The grays look like highlights as it grows, the growout is softer and not an opaque shoe polish-like line of demarcation.
Her hair has been subtly highlighted twice a year, that's it.
Gray hair is prone to dryness and breakage, by not using ammoniated hair color the hair is left softer and more manageable.
I love using hair color to bring out skin tone.
I did a balayage highlight and carefully toned it for the perfect skin flattering dimensional color.
I also did my signature layers, kind of like 90's layers but modern.
More fall hair goodness. 🧡💛🤎
I pulled a rabbit out of a hat with this one.
Why?
She was blonde a while, then went dark a while, then wanted to go blonde.
She has taken great care of her hair. Mostly, she leaned into the fact that I told her I wasn't sure how blonde I could get her, I told her she would lift warm. Her hair is curly so it's fragile,I had to be extremely careful with it.
I'm glad we embraced it.
That perfect caramel 🤌🏼
