Some seasons in life we feel stuck or disconnected from our vital energy. And then the Noor Light shines into our hearts. We emerge from the darkness of winter with renewed commitment & the energy to take action towards the next growth phase of our one precious life.
“We often forget that WE ARE NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So that when we say that we’ve lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.”

We live in a world full of noise – physical noise, psychological noise, emotional noise – for most of us day-to-day life is deafening. You need a special kind of quiet, just the right kind of environment and stimulation if you want to hear the whispers rising from within. You also need to be supported to listen.

Years ago, anthropologist Margaret Mead was asked by a student what she considered to be the first sign of civilization in a culture. The student expected Mead to talk about fishhooks or clay pots or grinding stones.
But no. Mead said that the first sign of civilization in an ancient culture was a femur (thighbone) that had been broken and then healed. Mead explained that in the animal kingdom, if you break your leg, you die. You cannot run from danger, get to the river for a drink or hunt for food. You are meat for prowling beasts. No animal survives a broken leg long enough for the bone to heal.
A broken femur that has healed is evidence that someone has taken time to stay with the one who fell, has bound up the wound, has carried the person to safety and has tended the person through recovery. Helping someone else through difficulty is where civilization starts, Mead said."
We are at our best when we serve others. Be civilized.

Spring - spiritual renewal
If you’re like most people, you’ve been pushing or pulling yourself to get through each day. Our modern lifestyle leads many people over stimulated, under nourished & disconnected. Independence and stoicism are expected rather than collaboration and real connection. Understandably, we often experience more anxiety, confusion and isolation.
Perhaps, you’ve found some relief in nature, meditation or talking to a trusted friend. Although these regenerative powers are natural to us they have been forgotten and ignored. Many people are longing for spiritual care.
Inside a Prayer
The content
of our prayer
is more powerful
than we’ll ever know.
Inside a prayer, our
deepest confessions
are revealed
in complete openness
and transmuted
into energy.
Inside a prayer
is where we unfurl
the immensity
of our love.
Inside a prayer
is where we bare
the human edges
of our faith.
Even the most secret
desires of our body
and soul are voiced
inside our prayer.
Maybe we'll never
fully understand
its complexities,
but we swear
we can feel it
generating strength
with every spoken word.
Because prayer
is the potent language
of our life force,
simply reaching out
in intent and
humbled breaths
to be heard.
