Lynn's Nail and Lash

To all the BBQ Community
After careful consideration, the organizers have decided to postpone the 2026 Senior Trooper Tom Nipper BBQ Throwdown & Scholarship Fundraiser, which had been scheduled for October 9-10, 2026, until 2027.
The date will be decided early 2027.

Rising competition costs, particularly meat expenses, have created challenges for many cook teams and resulted in lower-than-anticipated participation. Rather than proceed with an event that would not fully reflect the quality competition, community experience, and scholarship fundraising effort our participants and supporters have come to expect, we believe postponing until 2027 is the best path forward.

This decision was not made lightly. MPR C.O.P.S. remains fully committed to honoring Senior Trooper Tom Nipper and supporting our scholarship program.

We sincerely appreciate the support of our cook teams, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and community members. Your dedication to this event and its mission means more than words can express.

We look forward to bringing everyone back together in 2027 for an even stronger event.

With gratitude,

The Members of MPR C.O.P.S.
