How exactly a tattoo artist ends up making a whole-ass magazine is a slightly longer story

It involves a dead newsletter, an unreasonable number of ideas, and the realization that maybe I wanted somewhere to tell the stories behind all this and not just post about them

So naturally, I made 465

Nobody asked me to make a magazine.

Which, admittedly, has never stopped me from doing anything before 🤣

But there’s a reason this particular weird idea became 465.

Remember when I told you the newsletter was done because something bigger was coming?

I may have underestimated what I meant by “bigger.”

I made a whole-ass magazine! 🤣

465 / ISSUE 001 IS LIVE

This isn’t the old newsletter with a prettier outfit. 465 is a quarterly editorial publication built around the stories, people, tattoos, collaborations, experiences and slightly unhinged ideas happening inside and around Rethink.

There are stories from my clients. People I think you should know. Things worth showing up for. Some of my favorite work. A few very personal conversations. Koalas. Tarot cards. Croffles. An author building an entire universe. And the story of why winning Bronze pi**ed me off enough to eventually change the way I thought about this entire business.

I made the thing I wanted to read.
