This client came in with heavy buildup around the follicles, which can happen from product residue, oil, dead skin cells, or even postpartum hormonal changes.

During her head spa treatment, I applied the Surface Awaken Elixir and Spa Day Castor Oil to help soften and loosen the buildup before exfoliating the scalp and clearing the pores.

Sometimes this step actually brings more flakes to the surface, because the oils are lifting debris and dead skin away from the scalp so it can be properly removed.

When buildup sits on the scalp too long it can lead to:
• itching
• flakes
• irritation
• clogged follicles

Once the scalp is properly cleansed, it creates a much healthier environment for hair growth. 🌱
