15 years. 🥹

Fifteen years ago, I became a massage therapist.

I had absolutely no idea where this career would take me—or that one day I would be sitting here looking at a finished course, two complete manuals, hundreds of pages of education, anatomical illustrations I drew myself, and an entirely new bodywork method that grew out of years of asking:

“Why is this connected to THAT?” 😂

Today, I can finally say it:

AFCB™ — Anterior Fascial Connections Bodywork™ — is finished. 🖤✨
(The written publication part, at least! 😅)

What started six years ago with my sister, Lori, asking if there was a different way to work with fascia became something much bigger than either of us expected. That question led to years of exploring the connections we were finding in real bodies—testing, reassessing, drawing, learning, changing things, throwing things out, starting over, and asking approximately 47 million questions. 😂

Along the way, I brought in what I had learned through my own practice—movement, muscle testing, fascial relationships, and nervous-system work—and eventually, all of it became AFCB.

Then came the enormous job of figuring out how to teach it.

I had to take something that lived mostly in our hands and my brain and turn it into illustrations, education, protocols, scope-of-practice boundaries, student and instructor materials, clinical integration, and a pathway for future AFCB practitioners.

And now...it's done. 😭

There are so many people who helped us get here.

To the clients who trusted us while we explored, reassessed, and slowly figured out these fascial webs—thank you. You were an incredibly important part of this process.

To the fellow massage therapists who took our course while we were still fine-tuning it, gave us feedback, asked questions, and helped us figure out how to actually teach what we were doing—thank you.

And to my husband, who has been my biggest supporter through all of it—the late nights, giant ideas, endless drawings, books spread everywhere, and probably more conversations about fascia than any husband ever asked for—thank you for believing in me. ❤️

Somehow, this finish line landed right alongside my 15th anniversary in massage therapy, and there is something incredibly special about that timing.

Now I get to take everything those years taught me and begin teaching other therapists.

I'm really, really proud of this one. 🥹

Here's to 15 years beside the table...

…and to whatever comes next. 🖤✨
