How lucky or blessed or rich are we that get to have two worlds converge. Here is my 12 year old today daughter, with my 77 year young mother. Just when we think we are done with the years of motherhood that create us-from bathing and feeding and changing and singing to sleep- and we think how empty it is now that my children no longer need me physically as they did when they were littler. What comes next is what has been waiting, preparing our hearts for the real work as daughters and sons to turn around and watch our elderly parents needing us in parallel ways. How ironic? Evolutionary? Karmic? To show the same love to our mothers and fathers that was first introduced to us as caregivers for our own children, just when they have outgrown the needing of basic things like helping put cozy socks on bare feet. What a perfect way to begin new life and end it with the same. So grateful for the extra time we keep being given.

Last week, I was given the opportunity to participate in training as a model for BBL treatment (‘broad band light’, not ‘Brazilian butt lift’😂) coupled with the HALO Laser treatment with my beautiful friends at . Pic #1: day 1 after treatment/ pic #2: 1 week after treatment. I could not be happier with my results. Those of you who know me, know I was a lifeguard for many years and went to college in HI. I’ve had a couple run-ins with skin cancer and this treatment has also been shown to lessen the possibility of new occurrences. My sun damage and poor life choices over the last 41 years literally wiped off like coffee grounds. I’m so grateful and will forever recommend them.
