Hi! It's me, your girl. The voice of this page and owner of Alder. Here are six facts about me! But that isn't really what this post is about. I've lured you in.

First of all, I need to brag on my team for a minute.

I want to say how incredibly proud I am of our team of stylists and of Abby, our salon manager. Every single day, they show up ready to make Alder the best salon experience we can possibly create. They care deeply about every guest who walks through our doors, and they work incredibly hard to make sure you leave feeling seen, cared for, and genuinely happy.

To everyone who continues to choose us, recommend us, and trust us with your hair, thank you. We truly would not be here without you.

That said, I know it can be frustrating when you can't get an appointment right away. It's frustrating for us, too. We wish we could accommodate everyone who wants to visit us. We're actively hiring and training new stylists and front desk team members so we can welcome more guests while still providing the level of care you expect from Alder.

What I do ask is this: please be kind, especially to our support staff. They don't make the schedule, but they do everything they can to help you find the best solution. They answer every call, every text, every email, juggle waitlists, move appointments, and celebrate with us every time they're able to get someone in sooner.

Kindness is one of the things that makes Alder feel like Alder. We promise to treat you with patience, respect, and empathy, and we ask for the same in return. We're all humans doing our very best, and we're all on the same team.

Listen, I know 10 people are going to read this, and those 10 people are probably our favorite Instagram supporters, and just so you know, we appreciate you the most.

Our biggest problem lately?
hairdesigns keeps doing hair that's way too cool, and now the rest of us have to compete.
