📋 A little “why” behind all the paperwork…

You may have noticed that I’m being a lot more particular about Good Faith Exams, consents, and medical documentation.

There’s a reason. 👇🏼

Aesthetic treatments performed by nurses are medical services and have to be provided within the appropriate scope of practice, medical oversight, protocols, orders, and documentation required for that practice.

A Good Faith Exam is essentially the green light that a qualified medical provider has evaluated you and determined that the requested treatment is appropriate for you.

That evaluation and the required documentation need to be completed BEFORE treatment — not after the fact.

I realize not every aesthetic practice handles their paperwork the same way, and yes… I know paperwork is annoying. 😂

But I will always choose to follow the requirements of the regulatory agencies governing my nursing practice and maintain the documentation necessary to protect you, your care, and my nursing license.

So if I’m asking you to complete another form, update your medical history, or complete a GFE before your appointment, please know that I’m not trying to make things difficult.

I’m doing it the right way because your safety and my license are worth it. 🩷

Over the next few days, I’ll be working through my client list and sending updated GFE paperwork via email.

📧 Watch your email! If you receive paperwork from me, please complete it as soon as possible so everything is ready before your next treatment.

If your required GFE and medical documentation are not completed BEFORE your appointment, I will not be able to perform your treatment. Your appointment will need to be rescheduled, and my cancellation policy will apply.

I know this isn’t the fun part of getting your aesthetic treatments done, but it is an important part of keeping my practice compliant.
