Let’s talk lighting.
Both photos show the same client, same day, same hour. The only difference is the light
Photo 1: At my station, under overhead salon lighting, with the cape on. The color looks flatter and the dimension gets lost.
Photo 2: By the front door in natural light. You can see true tone, depth, and shine.
Why it matters: Natural light shows your color work as it really looks. Salon lighting often adds a yellow or orange cast and hides the dimension you worked so hard to create.
