National Mammography Day is a good reminder to check whether your breast cancer screening plan is up to date. Mammograms can detect some breast cancers before symptoms appear, when they may be easier to treat. The right screening schedule depends on factors such as age, family history, genetics, and personal risk, so ask your healthcare professional what timing is appropriate for you.
Before you scroll into another late night… the Sleep Thief has a confession. 👀⏰
“Just one more video” is its favorite invitation.
Tonight, try one small reset: put your phone out of reach and give yourself time to wind down. You don’t need a perfect routine to begin. 💛
Who else falls into the “five more minutes” trap?

Every doctor we mentor will one day make decisions without us in the room.
That is why teaching carries such a profound responsibility.
I want the next generation of physicians to understand deeply, question thoughtfully, and make decisions with both knowledge and compassion.
I want them to feel confident enough to speak up, humble enough to recognize uncertainty, and curious enough to keep learning throughout their careers.
And I want them to remember that every diagnosis belongs to a person with a life, a family, and a story.
To me, the lasting purpose of physician leadership is to prepare others to carry medicine forward—and to help them become generous teachers themselves.
That is what makes medical education and meaningful exchange between Egyptian and international physicians so valuable.
What did your most influential teacher help you understand about being a good doctor?

The scale is only one way to measure progress in obesity treatment. A new Endocrine Society scientific statement recommends also looking at outcomes such as blood sugar, cardiovascular health, liver health, sleep apnea, physical function, and quality of life. Weight loss can still be important, but meaningful treatment goals should reflect your individual health conditions, risks, priorities, and response to care. https://bit.ly/4yHibil

A patient’s trust should last long after they return home.
That belief will guide my conversations at **MIMTC Abu Dhabi 2026, November 26–27**, where I look forward to speaking and connecting with healthcare leaders.
As a physician and entrepreneur with Egyptian roots and international experience, I am committed to building partnerships that support patients, families, and the professionals caring for them.
Clear communication, shared expertise, and continuity of care are essential to that work. I look forward to exploring how we can put these priorities into practice together.
Joining us at MIMTC? Send me a message—I look forward to connecting in Abu Dhabi.

𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗗: a scale hiding half the evidence.❗
Weight can be useful information, but it does not measure strength, energy, waist size, sleep, or how well you are living. A healthy plan looks at the whole person.
What improvement have you noticed that the scale cannot show?

Sugar sometimes hides in the drink you barely notice. Take a look at the label on your usual coffee drink, tea, soda, or juice.
A small change in what you sip can be an easy place to start when building healthier habits. No guilt—just useful information.

Melatonin or magnesium for sleep? The better choice depends on the problem. Melatonin helps regulate your body clock and may be more useful for jet lag, shift work, or a delayed sleep schedule. Evidence for magnesium as a general sleep aid is mixed, although it may be more relevant when intake is low. Persistent sleep problems deserve a closer look at the underlying cause. https://bit.ly/3TBjsYO

Does soybean oil cause obesity? A mouse study offers clues, but it does not answer that question for humans. Normal mice gained more weight on a high-fat soybean oil diet, while genetically altered mice were partly protected, pointing researchers toward specific fat-metabolism pathways. For now, focus on your overall dietary pattern rather than treating one cooking oil or ingredient as the cause of weight gain. https://bit.ly/3VpDHcs

BMI is only one piece of the health picture. In a study following 5,674 U.S. adults for nearly 7 years, the combination of a larger abdominal diameter and low grip strength relative to body size was associated with a 97% higher risk of death. The findings support looking at strength, physical function, body composition, and other health measures alongside BMI. https://bit.ly/3Vpjt2u
