Let’s talk about hair color for a minute. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I love a fresh color, but PLEASE do not float immediately after coloring your hair or if you use bright colors or black dye.

Hair dye can leach into the water and leave stubborn stains on our pods. Unfortunately, I now know from experience. 😭

To be honest…this has been incredibly frustrating and genuinely sad for me. FLOAT CHQ represents so much time, money, hard work, and heart. Having to take a pod out of service and deal with preventable damage is disheartening. I want to keep serving our community, but I need your help protecting the equipment that makes it possible. Restoring a pod is a lengthy process that I’d prefer to never have to do again.

🛑 PLEASE DO NOT FLOAT IF YOU HAVE:

✋ Freshly dyed hair that may still release color. 5 days post color for natural colors should suffice.

✋ Unnatural colors (red, blue, green, purple, orange, pink, etc.).

✋ Black or very dark dyed hair that is still washing out. If the water isn't running clear in your shower, it's not ready for a float!

✋ Hair oils, color-depositing products, or treatments that may leave residue.

We’re taking a short break while we give one of our pods some much-needed attention and take care of a few things behind the scenes.

Due to the extent of repairs, we don’t have an exact return date just yet, but we’ll keep you posted right here!

In the meantime, we’re embracing a little pause and checking a few things off the list.

Which got me thinking…
What is one thing that can instantly ruin yours?

Not the big things. I am talking about the everyday stuff that can make you think, “Seriously?” (Or other choice words)

The person who parks so close to your car you can barely get in.

A crooked picture frame that you suddenly can’t stop noticing.

A cabinet door someone left open.

Your kids putting an empty cereal box back in the cabinet.

Someone chewing loudly.

Someone who says “I am on my way” when they haven’t even left yet. (🫣Oops. Sorry friends! 😜)

Some of these are legitimate annoyances. Some are probably just a little irrational. 😮‍💨

Either way… tell us one that gets you…

Music or Silence….🤔

Some people want to float with soft music playing in the background. 🎶 They like having something gentle to listen to while they unwind.

Others want complete silence. Just 60 minutes of stillness.

Personally, I think there’s something pretty special about both. And honestly, what I’d choose might depend on the day.

So I’m curious…
