🚨 Microneedling is officially within the esthetics scope in Indiana… but here’s what I need every esthetician to understand:

Just because you can perform microneedling doesn’t mean you should on everyone.

Microneedling is a treatment that requires critical thinking, proper technique, and a deep understanding of skin physiology. Knowing when NOT to needle is just as important as knowing how to perform the treatment itself.

Let’s clear up one of the biggest misconceptions I hear:

✨ Microneedling is designed to improve skin texture, not skin tone.

Its purpose is to stimulate collagen production and remodel the skin, making it an incredible treatment for:
• Acne scars
• Fine lines & wrinkles
• Enlarged pores
• Overall skin texture
• Certain types of scarring

It is not the treatment of choice for pigmentation or melasma, and in the wrong client it can actually make discoloration worse.
