SHINE ANYWAY FRIDAY ✨ So, not every day is polished. Not every plan goes perfectly. And not every moment looks like the picture you imagined. But ya know what? Shine anyway. 💁🏻‍♀️ Show up with what you have, and do what you can. Keep moving forward. Don’t wait until everything is “perfect” to let yourself be proud of how far you've come. Sometimes the most beautiful kind of confidence is simply saying: “This isn't perfect… but I'm showing up anyway.”

Still smiling over the memories made at the Miami County Fair! 🎡✨ I'm incredibly thankful to Michelle Green. None of this would have happened without her, and I am so blessed to have been even a small part of all of these special events during fair week. I met so many wonderful people…Including Emily Ann Roberts! 🤩 And let me tell y’all, she is just so amazingly sweet! I am so honored to have had the chance to chat with her. 🫶🏼 Some opportunities become memories that I will carry with me long after the lights go down.

Sometimes wellness looks like stepping away from the routine, getting involved in your community, and letting yourself have a little fun. I had the sweetest time helping with the Miami County Fair Kiddie Tractor Pulls and handing out trophies to these little champions! 🏆🚜 Their smiles were a pretty good reminder that joy is good for the soul.

Stop deciding “no” for yourself before anyone else gets the chance. Because why not you?! You are a rockstar! 🙌🏼 Apply for that job (or that pageant 😉). Audition for the biggest part. Enter the competition. Ask for the raise. Try the new thing, even if it scares you a little.

Sometimes you just have to pause, look at the menu, and decide what comes next. 😉Life is a lot like that. We are given choices, unexpected opportunities, and sometimes a few things we never imagined we'd have the courage to order. The important part is having the confidence to choose, take the next step, and trust where the journey leads. As I continue chasing big dreams with my Midwest roots firmly planted, I’m reminded that where you start does not determine where you can go. So today, choose courage. Choose possibility. And whatever is on your menu… don’t be afraid to order the dream.✨

It’s Small Town Saturday!

Some Midwest traditions don't need reinventing. They just need celebrating. And before the day is over, I'm shining a spotlight on a true Dayton, OH institution: The Pine Club, a local favorite that has been part of the Dayton community since 1947.

What started as Lonnie's Bar on Brown Street became The Pine Club when Jim Sullivan purchased the establishment, added its signature pine paneling, and created what would become one of Dayton's most recognizable dining traditions. Nearly eight decades later, that commitment to tradition, quality, and community is still part of what makes The Pine Club special. It’s a place where you can’t call ahead and get a reservation, and yet it has still been recognized nationally by the likes of Food Network, The New York Times and USA Today! But I think what matters most is something much closer to home—the generations of Daytonians who have made it part of their own stories.

And THAT is what Midwest Made: Big Dreams, Small Town Roots is about. You don't have to come from somewhere big to become something extraordinary. Sometimes the biggest stories really do have the smallest-town roots. Thank you, The Pine Club, for being part of Dayton's story for nearly 80 years!

Thankful Thursday

Tonight marks the first football game of the season, and I’m reminded just how thankful I am for the opportunity to do work that I love. While I’m getting ready for another season of Friday Night Lights, someone else in the house is clearly preparing too.😂🐾🏈 I’m so very thankful for the athletes who trust me, the coaches and teams I get to work alongside, and the little moments that make the busy days worthwhile.

Big dreams can take us to big stages, but sometimes purpose is found right where we are. Here’s to a new football season—and to showing up, serving others, and making an impact wherever we’re planted.
