Our family is growing! We have a new addition to The Family Hairloom. Jonathan Hucks has 6 years experience as a licensed Barber. He specializes in Men and Boys cuts. Jonathan also offers straight razor shaves as well. He lives in the Wingate area with his wife and two sons and they are both excitingly expecting their third child. We are looking to expand our family!! We have two chairs available for weekly booth rent. Must be a NC licensed Cosmetologist or Barber and have at least a small clientele base already built. We do have new client calls/walk-ins regularly.

We have been serving the community for 20 years and have a great reputation. 5 star review on Google. We are a small "hometown" place where everyone feels like they are at home.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I am three weeks away from my surgery that is scheduled on January 18th 2022.

I have a couple openings this week In the evening. Next week (1/4-1/8), I have openings but filling up quickly. The week of 1/11-1/15 is almost completely booked!!

I will be back in the shop Tuesday February 8th on a very very limited and staggered schedule for two weeks(which is also booking quickly). I will be back in the shop on regular schedule the week of February 22nd.

As everyone knows, Christmas is a couple weeks away. I still have openings available. Also, my surgery date is 1/18 and I'm expected to be out of work for three weeks with the following two weeks being on a limited staggard schedule. Time to book!!!

We will no longer require our guests to wear face coverings. If you still would like to continue to wear a face covering, you are more than welcome to do so. Progress feels so good right now!

Good Tuesday morning!! We have been going through some changes at The Family Hairloom. Mia has accepted a position at the Aveda School of Cosmetic Arts and will be their lead Esthetician Instructor. We are very excited to see what the future hold for her! While we are losing one, we have gained another. Emmeline (Em) is following in her Great Grandmother, Grandmother and Mothers shoes and has joined us! We welcome her to the shop!

Now onto business. It's been a challenging year for all of us. First off, we really appreciate you guys. As everyone has noticed, prices for almost everything has increased and the beauty industry has felt this affect as well. The manufacturers have increased prices on all chemicals, which unfortunately my chemical pricing has increased. This increase will be in effect May 1, 2021. I included the increase. I've also added Olaplex to my list of services and will be added to all my colors (Price is included)

Tom, Mia and Libby wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year! We have all felt the stress of 2020, but we are so fortunate to have clients like you guys that has helped make this year a little better. When we needed you, you were there for us and we will continue to be there for you guys in 2021 and beyond.

As we start our first full week of being open, this is what to expect when coming to your appointment:

1)Scheduling. Please schedule your appointment. You can do that by calling the shop or your stylist/barber. Right now, we can not accept any walkins due to social distancing guidelines, extra time spent in between clients to clean and sanitize and scheduled appointments. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but it is something we must follow.

2) Arrival. wait in your car and call, text or pop in the see if your stylist/barber is ready.We will come and get you. We can not have any one in the waiting area at this time.

3) Sanitizing. We have a touchless hand sanitizer sitting at the front desk. Its recommended you sanitize your hands before going to the chair.

4) Masks. Although they are not mandatory for the clients to wear, it is encouraged. We will let you make that choice. Its whatever you feel comfortable with. We will have our masks on.

5) Payments. We will still be accepting cash, card and checks

*Right now our max occupancy is 12 people in at one time. We will have to schedule appropriately for larger families.
