GUYS!! Im so happy, but mostly proud and thankful to announce that when you book with Beauty by Lex, you are booking the best COLORIST in the STL area for 2026!

Winning Best Colorist in the STL Magazine A-List Readers’ Choice Awards and being a runner-up finalist for Hair Extensions honestly doesn’t even feel real.

If you would’ve told the girl walking into cosmetology school that one day she’d win this, she probably would’ve laughed… especially after excitedly telling someone she respected she was starting school and hearing:

“You’re not gonna make a career out of that, are you?” 😰

I’ve also had people I considered friends who never once sat in my chair. Not even for the smallest appointment to show support. Just this past December, I was even told that if I left my old place, no one would follow me and my business would fail.

I told myself when the voting first started that if I don’t win, just being nominated was good enough for me! I also said if I could only win one category, I would want it to be Colorist. So this one means more than I can put into words. 🥹

I’d be lying if I said my imposter syndrome wasn’t at an all time high cause there is just no way so many people voted for me… enough to win! Like that is so crazy to me. I really love yall for that 😭
