WHY DID YOU STOP TAKING CARE OF YOU? 09/21/2026

WHY DID YOU STOP TAKING CARE OF YOU?

Are your legs tired, heavy or sore?
Do you feel puffy or swollen?
Are you training hard but skipping recovery?
Or have you simply gotten so busy taking care of everyone else that you stopped taking care of you?

Let's change that.

START WITH THE BOA MAX.

BOA Max uses compression to support circulation and lymphatic flow and give tired, hard-working legs a chance to relax and recover.

And right now, we're making it easy to try:

❤️ 1 FULL HOUR — $50

That's one hour to stop.
One hour to relax.
One hour to do something for yourself.

But remember—recovery isn't about doing something once and expecting a miracle.

Start. Be consistent. Pay attention to your body. Trust the process.

You've spent enough time saying, “I'll take care of myself when I have time.”

Make the time. Your body has been asking for it.

WHY DO I WAKE UP AFTER 4 HOURS OF SLEEP? 09/16/2026

WHY DO I WAKE UP AFTER 4 HOURS OF SLEEP?

You fall asleep just fine…then suddenly you're wide awake and your brain has a to-do list.

Sound familiar?

You’re tired. You fall asleep quickly. But a few hours later, your eyes open and suddenly your brain is thinking about tomorrow, work, family, training, something you forgot to do—or something you need to remember.

The harder you try to go back to sleep, the more awake you become.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN?

As the night progresses, we naturally move through different stages of sleep, including periods of lighter sleep. Stress, a busy mind, training load, caffeine, alcohol, inconsistent sleep schedules and other factors can make it easier for a normal brief awakening to turn into a long one.

For athletes, recovery matters too. Hard training without adequate recovery, hydration or nutrition can leave your body feeling tired while your nervous system still feels “on.”

TRY THIS BEFORE BED

Do a brain dump.
Before you go to bed, write down what you need to remember or accomplish tomorrow. Give your brain permission to stop working on it tonight.

Put the phone away.
Try giving yourself 30–60 minutes without emails, social media or work before bedtime.

Dim the lights.
Create a clear transition between your busy day and sleep.

Watch late caffeine and alcohol.
Alcohol may initially make you sleepy but can contribute to disrupted sleep later in the night. Caffeine can stay in your system much longer than you realize.

Fuel your recovery.
If you're training hard, don't forget about adequate nutrition, hydration and recovery.

Don't start working at 2:00 a.m.!
If you wake up thinking about something, write down a few words so you don't forget it. Then leave it for tomorrow.

CAN RECOVERY HELP YOU SLEEP BETTER?

At Swift Recovery, we have several services that can be incorporated into an evening relaxation and recovery routine.

🧠 BRAINTAP

Put on the headset, close your eyes and disconnect for a little while.

BrainTap sessions use guided audio and light-based experiences designed to encourage relaxation and help you transition away from the stimulation of your day.

Great evening option: Try a relaxation-focused BrainTap session as part of your wind-down routine.

🎵 VIBROACOUSTIC THERAPY

One of our most relaxing experiences.

Lie back while gentle sound and vibration create a calming sensory experience. This can be a great choice when your body is exhausted but your mind doesn't want to slow down.

⚡ PULSE PEMF

PEMF sessions are a noninvasive recovery option that many people enjoy as part of their relaxation and recovery routine.

Pair a relaxing PEMF session with quiet time away from your phone and give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing for a little while.

🔴 RED LIGHT

Red light therapy is a popular recovery tool for athletes and active adults.

Instead of treating it as another thing to squeeze into your busy day, make your session part of your evening transition: slow down, disconnect and give your body some recovery time.

🔥 INFRARED SAUNA

Heat can feel incredibly relaxing after a stressful day or hard workout.

An evening sauna session can be a great opportunity to slow down and decompress. Finish early enough to allow your body time to cool before bedtime, and remember to rehydrate.

BUILD YOUR OWN “SLEEP RECOVERY” ROUTINE

Try coming to Swift Recovery in the evening and creating a simple 60-minute wind-down:

Red Light or PEMF → Vibroacoustic Therapy or BrainTap → Home → Shower → Phone Away → Bed

The goal isn't to make yourself sleep.

The goal is to create the conditions that tell your body:

The work is finished. The workout is finished. The day is finished. It's time to recover.

SWIFT RECOVERY

Recovery isn't just what you do after a workout. Sleep is recovery, too.

Ask us which services may fit best into your evening recovery routine.

Our recovery services are intended for wellness and relaxation and are not treatments for insomnia or other sleep disorders. Persistent sleep problems, significant daytime sleepiness, snoring/gasping during sleep, or other concerning symptoms should be discussed with a healthcare professional.

RECOVER LIKE A PRO ATHLETE 🏃‍♀️💪 09/13/2026

Our latest news

RECOVER LIKE A PRO ATHLETE 🏃‍♀️💪

You don't have to train like a professional athlete to recover like one.

One of the biggest differences between professional athletes and the rest of us isn't necessarily how hard they train—it's how seriously they take recovery.

For many of us, the workout ends and we immediately move on with our day. Work. Kids. Errands. Life.

But your body doesn't stop working when your Garmin stops.

Recovery is where your body prepares for what you're asking it to do next.

So whether you're training for a marathon, lifting, playing a sport, walking your first 5K, or simply trying to stay active and feel good, here are some habits worth borrowing from the pros.

💧 1. REHYDRATE

Recovery actually starts before your workout is over.

Replace the fluids and electrolytes you've lost—especially after long, hot or humid workouts.

Don't wait until you're thirsty later in the day. Keep drinking and hydrating throughout the day.

🥤 2. GET YOUR PROTEIN

Your muscles need nutrients after training.

Try to get a meal, snack or protein drink soon after a harder workout. Pairing protein with carbohydrates can be especially useful after long or demanding sessions.

The exact amount and timing will vary by athlete. The important thing is having a recovery nutrition plan instead of finishing your workout and forgetting to eat for hours.

😴 3. SLEEP IS A RECOVERY TOOL

You can buy every recovery gadget available, but don't overlook one of the most powerful tools you already have:

SLEEP.

Create a consistent nighttime routine and give your body enough time to rest.

Training breaks you down.

Recovery helps you come back ready to train again.

🦵 4. KEEP THE BODY MOVING

Recovery doesn't always mean doing nothing.

An easy walk, gentle recovery run, mobility work or light movement can feel great the day after a hard workout.

The key word is EASY.

Not every workout needs to become another workout!

❄️ 5. USE RECOVERY TOOLS WITH A PURPOSE

This is where we can help at Swift Recovery.

Different days call for different types of recovery.

Feeling beat up after a long run?
Try compression, lymphatic drainage or a relaxing recovery session.

Heavy, tired legs?
Compression or contrast therapy may be a great addition to your routine.

Need to relax and decompress?
Try the infrared sauna, red light, vibroacoustic bed or BrainTap.

Looking for cold?
Cryotherapy and cold plunge are available.

Need a quick pre-workout session?
PEMF or Power Plate can be incorporated into your routine.

You don't need to do everything every day.

The goal is to learn what your body responds to and when to use it.

📅 6. SCHEDULE RECOVERY LIKE YOU SCHEDULE TRAINING

This may be the biggest lesson we can learn from professional athletes.

They don't wait until they're completely exhausted or hurting to think about recovery.

Recovery is part of the training plan.

If Saturday is your long run, start thinking ahead:

Friday: Hydrate, fuel and get a good night's sleep.
Saturday: Run → refuel → rehydrate → recover.
Sunday: Easy movement and continued recovery.
Monday: Prepare your body for the next training cycle.

Consistency matters more than waiting until something hurts.

TRAIN. RECOVER. REPEAT.

You put a lot of time and effort into your workouts.

Give your recovery some attention, too.

At Swift Recovery, we'll help you figure out which services make sense for your training, your body and your goals.

You don't have to be a professional athlete.

You just have to start treating your recovery like one.

What supplements do I take! 09/08/2026

People ask me about vitamins and supplements all the time, so I thought I’d share what I personally take and why.

I’m definitely not an expert, and I’m not telling anyone what they should take. This is simply what works for me after years of running, training and trying to take better care of my body.

I use Momentous supplements because quality matters to me. I like knowing that they focus on third-party testing and carefully sourced ingredients.

So, what do I take?

💜 Magnesium — Recovery, muscle function and sleep. I train a lot, and anything that can help me recover and get better sleep is important to me.

🦴 Calcium — Bone health. As a longtime runner, keeping my bones strong is something I pay attention to.

🩸 Iron — As an endurance athlete, I know how important iron can be for energy and oxygen transport. This is also one I believe you should know your levels before just adding it to your routine.

💪 Creatine — YES, I take creatine! And no, it’s not just for bodybuilders. As I get older, maintaining muscle and strength has become even more important to me.

☀️ Vitamin D — Another one I take for bone health, muscle function and overall wellness.

🌿 Turmeric — I’m a believer in turmeric, too. I don’t take it every single day, but I like it as part of my recovery routine.

The biggest thing I would tell anyone is DO YOUR RESEARCH.

Don’t take something just because I take it or because you saw someone talking about it on social media. Learn about it. Ask questions. Know your body. Get bloodwork when appropriate. Talk to your healthcare provider.

I’m always looking for ways to keep moving, stay strong and recover better — not just for my next run, but for the long haul.

And because I really like the Momentous products, we now carry them at Swift Recovery.

If you’ve been curious about supplements, stop by and take a look. I’m always happy to tell you what I take and why I take it. 💜

Keep moving. Keep learning. Take care of your body.

Momentous Supplements

Fuel your performance today and your longevity for tomorrow with Momentous Supplements. 💥

Momentous is built on real science — trusted by elite athletes, but designed for everyday life. Every product is rigorously tested (NSF & Informed-Sport), so you get clean, effective ingredients you can count on.

Whether you’re training hard, staying active, or simply focused on long-term health, Momentous supports it all — from performance and recovery to sleep, cognitive function, and daily wellness.

Because it’s not just about how you perform in the moment — it’s about how you feel, move, and live for years to come.
