Having red hair comes with the added complication of choosing the proper pigment color that is appropriate for their particular skin tone + natural hair. Since there isn’t a perfect match for a specific shade of copper, I always custom blend my pigment to create that right shade of copper and to be honest 𝑅𝐸𝐷𝐻𝐸𝐴𝐷𝑆 + 𝐵𝐿𝑂𝑁𝐷𝐸𝑆 are my favorite color mixes! 𝐻𝐸𝐴𝐿𝐸𝐷 𝐶𝑂𝑅𝑅𝐸𝐶𝑇𝐼𝑂𝑁 (𝐵𝐸𝐹𝑂𝑅𝐸 𝑇𝑂𝑈𝐶𝐻𝑈𝑃)

As the saying goes, “𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑟𝑑 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒’𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑚,” and this was my client’s third time getting her brows done. To give you some background, my client has gotten her brows done twice before coming to me. She did microblading with another artist then transitioned to powder brows, but was still unsatisfied with the results. As you swipe through the photos, you can obviously see that one brow was higher than the other. I evened out her brow shape the best that I could and reshaped them to frame her face better. Definitely was not an easy brow case to do, but overall we’re both very pleased with the outcome.

Correction work of this nature is not for the faint of heart. It's a multi-step process that requires a thorough understanding of color and skin theory (keep in mind that skin is also pigmented!). With different hues to factor in, it can be overwhelming when you’re faced with corrections. Shading is so much more than just doing one repetitive movement. It’s knowing when to apply the appropriate shading techniques, when to consider shadow and light, and configuring your tattoo machine accordingly. When you master your shading skill, it allows you to be more creative, and it helps make your work more distinctive.
