Remember that medications should serve as adjuncts and not replacements for diet and exercise. Individual results may vary. Talk to your doctor about which med is best suited for you 🍎
All statins are 💯 to lower your risk of ASCVD, but if I had a choice, I personally reach for atorvastatin, rosuvastatin, or pravastatin a bit more given flexibility in dosing and/or tolerability. From literature and/or clinical experience, simvastatin seems to give patients more muscle side effects, especially at higher doses, so I’m usually not one to start this. And then lovastatin or fluvastatin…no opinion 🤷🏻♀️ What about you?
