I hope everyone has been safe and doing well. This has been a very trying time and I pray we somehow eradicate this virus and keep it at bay so that we may resume our lives.

I’m sure many are looking a little shaggy and “two-toned”. Thank you to those brave ones that bought color kits to do at home to hold you over. You all did a great job and I was more than happy to have helped walking you through it. And to those that braved it out, I applaud you!!!

Many have reached out with advice on what you can do about your color for now. There are alternatives to coloring. We also have temporary color sprays as well as “mascara” for your roots that will shampoo out. Both are temporary fixes and cover like magic! I have most colors available. Message me for any retail orders and I’ll either ship to you or do a no-contact drop off on your doorstep. Payments are taken with Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal. No order is too small.

Since we still don’t know when we may reopen, I have been taking tentative appointments after May 5th since our stay at home order will be expiring April 30th. According to Governor Abbott, he will announce a plan for the rest of us and we will have a better idea of a “soft opening” date. I will keep you informed.

***SAFETY AND SANITATION***
The beauty industry is governed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. Rules, regulations, and policies have always been in place for sanitation and disinfection in our salons. As a rule, we completely sanitize EVERYTHING in our salons. We use a virucidal solution for our instruments and as a spray for surfaces. We also have a dry sanitizer with UV lamp for our non-immersible instruments. Of course this will not change but will be more enhanced. We ALWAYS have hand sanitizer (another TDLR regulation) on our stations for both hairdresser and client. These things will never change.

For everyone’s safety, I will be adding a few requirements until further notice. I will ask that if you are experiencing any type of sniffle, coughing, sneezing, fever, or tickle of the throat, however slightest, AND regardless of allergies, PLEASE reschedule your appointment. I will also ask that you wear a mask for your protection and mine, one that has elastic to put around your ears. I can work around those. If you don’t have one, I will supply you with one as you come in. You can wear gloves at your discretion as I will sanitize my chair after each client. As you, my client, know that I’ve always worn a mask depending on the chemical service I’m performing, I will have one on all the time now as well as gloves.

I don’t always have you put on a smock but I will ask you to do so from now on. Once your done, do not hang it back up. There’s a hamper for used smocks in the changing room.

This has been a harrowing experience and many of us have felt some uncertainty. I have been blessed with a great clientele and care deeply about each one of you and pray you and your loved ones have been safe and healthy.

I have also engaged with many of you on advice, tutorials, and have answered questions. As always, feel free to ask questions or advice. I have always been an advocate of sharing and educating my clients about their hair and hair needs. Cheers to those that had me teach you how to cut your bangs! You did great!

I look forward to seeing everyone again and beautifying you! Again, if you wish, you can post your questions or concerns and I will answer as quickly as I can. Stay safe and we’ll see you soon! 🙏🏼💝
