Ms. Madelyn Johnson dedicated more than 50 years to the beauty industry as a licensed nail technician, master educator, mentor, and leader. Throughout her remarkable career, she worked with respected brands such as Cuccio and helped educate and inspire thousands of nail technicians across the Houston area.

To me, she was so much more than an educator. She was a mentor, an encourager, and someone who believed in me. Her wisdom, kindness, and unwavering passion for this industry shaped countless careers—including mine. I will forever cherish the conversations, the laughter, and our lunches together. Her impact will continue to live on through every student who follows in her footsteps.

In honor of her extraordinary legacy, GNU Beauty Institute is proud to offer the Madelyn Johnson Manicurist Scholarship in the amount of $750 toward our Manicurist Program.
