Her first facial experience at Nourish began with listening to her concerns and assessing what her skin needed that day.
She came in concerned about dark spots, congestion and visible signs of aging. During her skin analysis, I also noticed surface dehydration and areas of dryness.
Her Nourish Discovery Experience included targeted enzyme exfoliation, careful extractions, calming and brightening support, hydration and SPF. I cleared what was ready without forcing every pore—especially because unnecessary inflammation can contribute to more discoloration.
The goal wasn’t to do everything in one appointment. It was to give her skin thoughtful care, clear home-care guidance and a plan for what comes next.

Apply it after bathing while your skin is still slightly damp to help seal in moisture.
Hydration, softness and glow may be noticed first. When addressing uneven-looking tone, consistency and patience are important.

Oily skin and hydrated skin are not opposites.
Oil refers to the amount of sebum your skin produces. Dehydration is a temporary condition in which the skin lacks water—which means your complexion can feel oily, tight and uncomfortable at the same time.
Possible signs of dehydration may include:
• Tightness after cleansing
• Increased oiliness
• Dullness
• Increased sensitivity
• Fine lines appearing more noticeable
Before reaching for another strong cleanser, scrub or exfoliating treatment, consider what your skin is experiencing—not only its usual skin-type label.
In this routine, I’m using our Balance Botanical Toner with Rose + Hyaluronic Acid, Nourish Restore Moisturizerand a small amount of Nourish Glow Infusion Facial Oil as the final moisture-supporting step.
Remember: facial oil can help support moisture retention, but oil alone does not hydrate the skin.

If you’re new here, welcome. I’m Ashley—the licensed esthetician and founder behind Nourish Skin & Wellness.
After more than 20 years in finance, I followed a new path into esthetics and later expanded my education into healthcare, becoming a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Certified EKG Technician.
Each chapter has shaped the way I approach Nourish: thoughtfully, intentionally and with an appreciation for the many factors that may influence our skin and overall well-being.
I created Nourish for women who want more than a rushed facial or a one-size-fits-all skincare routine.
Many of the women I meet are navigating dryness, hormonal breakouts, congestion, pigmentation, sensitivity or visible changes in their skin—and they are not always sure where to begin.
At Nourish, personalized care begins by listening:
• What is your skin’s usual pattern?
• What has changed recently?
• What products are you currently using?
• What does your skin need at this stage of life?
My goal is to help you understand your skin and establish a realistic starting point through thoughtful assessments, customized esthetic treatments, practical education and intentional home care.
