We’ve been having a cozy little time over here in babyland. I was really anxious about how I would feel during PP given my previous mental health history but thankfully it’s been pretty positive experience. The weepies hit around day 4 and were off and on a couple days but we’ve turned a corner. Funny how the pregnancy rage instantly disappeared 😂 I am SOOOO lucky Carlos can stay home with us during this time, I literally don’t know what I would do without him. Cabin fever is real and I feel best when I have a little out of the house time to look forward to but after about 45 min I miss my baby or my bed and wanna get home. I’m excited to trickle into work and see my friends and clients and get my hands in some hair 🩷

Our teeny little Libby Rose was born July 7th and it’s been pure bliss ever since. Carlos is a total natural, Libby is tiny but mighty and I’m over the moon to be in our newborn bubble. ♥️

Hair brands not caring about their stylists is something we BEEN knowing, but what have we done about it?

We started seeing affiliate links during Covid to help stylists make money while we weren’t in the salon. Amazing! Finally!

And then they realized they could make way more off of influencers than us. Suddenly those programs disappeared without ANY communication. I’m looking at you Amika & Kevin Murphy 😑

But brands like Hairstory were holding strong! Until earlier this year they announced they’re launching into ulta. What’s even funnier! When I signed up for Shopmy, they were one of the first brands to reach out to me asking to share their products 🙃 and the commission rate was the same.

That further solidified my decision to move everything over to ONE platform for my clients. I hated having to send them 2-3 different links, now they have different log ins for each site, they forget and end up purchasing in person.
