Update: Hi everyone, first and foremost I want to say thank you to every single one of you that have donated! We are just a few hundred dollars away from the goal and to be honest Anna initially wanted it to be a little bit higher, but for some reason go fund me (according to the description of my needs) decreased it. Which is OK because I have great news I will return to work on March 3 and starting at a new hair salon. I am so thankful to my friend Anna owner of Mane And Tailored hair salon. She set this up for me after touching base with me and asking me how long I thought I would be off work. I can’t believe I spent the whole month of February at doctors appointments, emergency rooms and then at home. Recovery has not been easy, but it definitely made me feel good to see friends that visited me. Some people could not donate financially, and they took initiative to bring me meals. Give me rides to appointments and even pick up my prescriptions. That truly made me feel so special! I’m so thankful to be alive because I heard the word septic brought up a couple of times with surgeons in the hospital and I’m glad they prevented that with IV antibiotics. Like Anna posted I no longer have the JP drain that was placed in my abdomen. I have a follow up with my surgeon in four weeks and he mentioned that surgery would be at about eight weeks from my first follow up appointment with him, which was just a couple of days ago so that means that in about eight weeks, I will be off of work again for about a week or so. I am so grateful to see how much community support I have. Your monetary donation is making it possible for me to be able to pay my personal rent, utilities, medical bills and some groceries. I’m comfortable returning to work, of course taking it slowly not double booking my clients and being super attentive. Sister, besties, go getters, runners, girl power, coffee dates, Miami lovers. So much more! The relationship they have is so amazing! They love to come tot he shop and talk but most of all they love a good Haircut! Emily has recently gone more brunette and we love it! Arleah is in a trim eta so she keeps growing her hair but I know a chip is coming in the summer!

Things we don’t think about sometimes as stylist. Is my client comfortable taking pics? Do they want to all the time? I try and make our time and personal as possible and relate to my clients. This is a great scenic photographer thy pushes her boundaries and continues to educate and be educated in her field of art. She does so much for underserved communities. I am so honored to color, cut and style her. She is woman of love, a mother, an artist, a culture lover and cultivator. Thank you my dear for being such a supporter of my career!

For my first post of 2025 I’m gonna shoutout ! A friend who is constantly reminding me of my skills and worth. A hustler, she went from a full time corporate career to becoming self employed as a DJ! She is a multi award winner, LGBTQIA supporter and the L of the acronym. I rang in the new year with her (excise my hype that day I was tipsy) and had a blast! Here is to friendships who not only support you but also promote you, that means so much to me! Thank you Rosez, I love you boo!
