In honor of leaving the salon one year ago, I wanted to post a little update about what life has been like for the past year.
Dakota and I moved back down to Baca County to run cattle again and focus on the family farm & ranch, and it’s been a dream come true for us! We’re definitely right where God called us to be. Though I do miss all of my former clients dearly, I can whole-heartedly say that I know we made the right choice. 😊

Life the past year has included:
- Lots of loving on our pups & ponies
- Working / taking care of our little cow herd
- I started a little garden and have been growing some veggies & herbs
- Since gardening, I decided to get into canning and I have preserved over 80 jars of garden veggies!
- We adopted an untouched Mustang from the BLM and have been training and raising her
- I’ve gotten really into baking, and I even created my own sourdough starter from scratch
- Day working some around the area
- Learning so so so much about homesteading and providing for ourselves!

Though it feels like I did a complete 180° from being a cosmetologist, I know I wouldn’t be where I am now without everything I learned in school, from my clients, or my fellow stylists. Y’all pushed me to live life to the fullest and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing, so THANK YOU! ❤️

Well, Beauty by Kels is officially closed. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your continued support from the beginning till the end ❤️

It’s definitely a bittersweet goodbye, I will miss you all but I am so excited for this next chapter of my life! 😊

I want to say thank you all SO MUCH for supporting me and my small business 🩷.

I have some pretty big news to announce regarding Beauty by Kels. As many of you know, horses and ranching have been my passion for my entire life. So, when my husband and I were presented with an opportunity to do what we both love together, we couldn’t pass it up. Cosmetology will always hold such a big spot in my heart, and I cannot express my gratitude for everything I learned in the industry.💈

October 14th will be my last day in the shop, so if you’re wanting in before I leave, be sure to book now! I will also be keeping all client notes and color formulas until December 31st, so if you need your color formula to tell your new stylist, let me know! I will also be more than happy to refer y’all to other stylists in the area I recommend 😊

Apologies for not posting on here in a while, it’s my busiest time of the year!
With that being said, my openings are limited and going fast. So be sure to book out your appointments to make sure you can get in before everyone else does! ❤️

I do understand that it’s harvest and everyone else is extremely busy as well, (especially with what an odd harvest it’s been), so I know how hard it can be to plan things. But, whenever possible, book your appointments in advance so we can get you taken care of when you need! 🥰
