Phyllis Diller knew how to make an entrance.
According to our former longtime Buckstaff employee Donna Woolard, when the famous comedian came to the Buckstaff, she wanted to keep a low profile. She arrived wearing a mask so no one would recognize her.
The staff knew exactly who she was, of course. But they were instructed to treat her just like any other guest.
A little piece of Buckstaff history we couldn’t resist sharing. ❤️

Birders! After a long day of watching birds, you deserve a little soaking of your own. 🐦🛁
The Birding Festival of the South takes flight in Hot Springs October 8–10, with field trips, trails, workshops and plenty of opportunities to get your binoculars working overtime.
When your feet are tired, your back is complaining and you've counted approximately 47 warblers, come see us at the Buckstaff.
Trade your binoculars for a bath. Our thermal mineral water has been flowing through the Buckstaff for more than a century.
Because even birders need to unruffle their feathers. 😉

Then & now. 💙
Over a century of history, and still welcoming guests through the doors.
From above, it’s a beautiful building.
But to us, it’s so much more. 💙
For 114 years, the Buckstaff has been part of the story of Hot Springs, welcoming generations of visitors to experience the healing tradition of taking the waters.
Every blue-and-white awning, every marble step, every familiar face and every memory made here is part of that story.

Sink into a little slice of history and let the hot towel wraps melt the tension away. There’s nothing quite like a traditional Buckstaff bathhouse experience.
Come unwind with us. 🛁✨

A Little Piece of Buckstaff History 🇺🇸⚓️
This isn’t just an old Buckstaff fan. It’s a glimpse into an era when patriotism, war and the American home front were woven into everyday life.
Imagine this fan being carried through Bathhouse Row decades ago, when the country was living through a period of tremendous change and Americans were being called upon to support the nation in ways large and small.
Promotional pieces like this were more than advertising. They captured the spirit of their time, combining Buckstaff's famous thermal baths with the patriotism of an America at war.
Today, this little fan gives us another way to look back at the people, places and moments that shaped the Buckstaff story.
More than 100 years later, the history is still here. ♨️🇺🇸

Before the water reaches Bathhouse Row, it begins deep beneath the Ouachita Mountains.
Hot Springs’ thermal water has been making its way to the surface for thousands of years, carrying with it a story that is much older than the buildings that line Bathhouse Row.
The water came first. We’re just lucky enough to be here for its next chapter.
