I’m naming this whipped body lotion Reagan’s Recipe. I formulated it for my grandson who has dry skin. Whipped organic kokum butter, organic usda grass fed tallow balm and organic usda olive oil. Feels so soft and good on your skin. Baby smooth. Came out like frosting hubby said 😁

Reposting 😊

Today I made Elderberry Syrup for the cold/flu season. It's an easy recipe to make. If I can do it so can you!! Also if you don't use it all, you can freeze it and take it out when you need it. Ice cube trays are perfect for that. This was perfect timing as my husband is sick this week. I would like to share the recipe with you all, however because of the honey that's added into this I don't recommend kids under the age of one to have this.

2/3 cups dried elderberries
3 1/2 cups of water
2 Tablespoons fresh or dried ginger root
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/2 teaspoon cloves or powdered clove
1 cup raw honey

Directions: place everything into a saucepan except the raw honey. DO NOT add that in. Bring mixture to a boil. Once boiled reduce and simmer 45 minutes to an hour. Or until the liquid is reduced by half. Drain the liquid through a strainer (make sure you mash the berries to get all the liquid out) into a glass measuring cup or bowl. Discard the elderberries and let it cook enough to be handled. When it's no longer hot add the honey and mix. Add to a glass bottle (you can buy them at the Christmas tree shop. It's pictured below. I looooove them) cap it and your done!!!!

Dosage: to strengthen your immune system daily
For kids - 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
For adult - 1/2 to 1 Tablespoon

If the flu strikes take the normal dose every 2-3 hours until symptoms disappear
Before consuming any remedy please consult with your doctor.

Reposting and sharing this recipe as it’s that time of year again.... for ills, chills and doctor bills. I already have this on hand for when we’re sick and will be making more soon. It saves us a trip to the doctors and it’s comforting to know exacting what we’re putting into our bodies.

Hi everyone!!! Sorry I haven't posted in a while things around here are a tad bit crazy. I told you I would post my cold/flu remedy so here it is....My "Voodoo Tonic" as my husband says which is aka "Fire Cider" or "Master Tonic" - a homemade cold and flu tonic

This is the remedy I like to have on hand all year long but especially this season-fall. A time when illnesses plague us during the cold and flu season. This remedy works great as an immune boosting preventative as well a powerful anti-microbial, anti-viral,anti-inflammation, decongestant and digestive properties when your family is ill. There are many different forms of making this but I'm sharing the basic recipe that I use.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup diced horseradish
1/2 cup diced garlic
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup diced ginger
1/4 cup diced turmeric
1 habanero chile, split lengthwise
1 orange, quartered
1/2 lemon, sliced
1 teaspoon black peppercorns
2 to 3 cups raw apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup raw honey or to taste (do not give to children under the age of 1)

Directions:
Place all the ingredients into a clean 1-quart glass jar. Except the honey. The vinegar should fill the jar and cover all the ingredients. Make sure there's no bubbles or air pockets. I just shake the jar a few times. Cover the jar with a lid and let sit in a cool dark place for 3-6 weeks. Shake daily. If your using a medal lid, line it with wax paper to avoid corroding. The longer you let it sit the stronger it will be. After 3-6 weeks strain liquid out of the jar and now you have your own cold and flu busting remedy to take if needed. Add the honey to taste. Place in a refrigerator and it should be used within a year. You can also take 1 teaspoon of it daily to avoid getting sick. If I'm sick I take 1 teaspoon an hour until I feel better. This remedy isn't for everyone and if you can stomach it - it sure does work.
