This is what goes into making a fresh batch of DewAway Intimate Body Powder. Small-batch production isn’t always pretty, and it definitely isn’t always glamorous- but every step matters. 🤎

And that powder-covered workspace at the end? Just part of the process. 😂

This batch of body wash got a little too thick for the overhead stirrer to fully circulate, so out came the big whisk and a little elbow grease.

I discontinued our Calendula Multipurpose Salve from retail some time ago, but I never stopped making it for my wholesale customers. And every so often, someone would ask for it.

Eventually I started wondering… why isn’t this available to my retail customers anymore?

So, she’s back - just a little differently. ✨

Our Calendula Multipurpose Salve is returning in a new 1.25 oz glass jar - a simple, everyday salve for keeping dry, rough skin feeling soft, moisturized, and cared for.

At some point, you stop chasing every new trend, stop thinking you need a 12-step routine, and start paying attention to what your skin actually needs.

Healthy-looking skin isn’t about turning back the clock. It’s about caring for the skin you’re in - intentionally. 🤎

Reset the workspace. Make the product. Fill the wholesale orders. Unpack the ingredients. Check the paperwork. And, of course, give the new orange essential oil a smell test. 😂🍊👍🏽

Not every day behind a skincare brand is glamorous - but there’s something satisfying about seeing all the little pieces come together.

POV: You clock out…just to clock back in. 😂

The 9–5 may be done for the day, but my second shift is just getting started.

Looking back at this “On This Day” reminded me just how many ordinary evenings have gone into building R. Drew Naturals. No big moment—just consistency, over and over again. 🤎

I stopped doing the melt, cool, whip & pipe method a long time ago. 👀

Not because it doesn’t work - it absolutely does. I was introduced to a different method that gave me the smooth, creamy texture I wanted without all the waiting.

The method I prefer? Melt the hard butter, pour it over the soft butter, add the oils in stages, blend until silky smooth, then pour.

About 40 minutes from start to finish. 🙌🏾

One thing formulating has taught me: more steps don’t always mean a better result. Sometimes it’s about understanding your ingredients and choosing the process that gives you the result you’re looking for.

Buying in bulk makes sense for my business - but working directly from a 5-gallon bucket every time I formulate? Not so much. 😂

So I transfer my raw ingredients into smaller, production-friendly containers. And yes…there’s a reason I roll the bucket. 👀 It helps move the ingredient toward the opening so gravity can do the work while I control the flow.

Nothing fancy - just one of those little systems I’ve learned that makes production easier and more efficient.
