Today felt a little surreal after all the packing, planning, moving, organizing, and excitement that went into getting here.
I got to spend my first day settling into my new space, doing what I love, and of course sending out some beautiful hair. 🖤
There are still boxes to unpack and little things to finish, but I already feel so excited about this next chapter.
Thank you SO much to everyone who has encouraged me, checked on me, shared my posts, booked appointments, or just been excited with me. It means more than you know.

A little closing chapter for my Do It for Dolly campaign 💕📚
I officially made my donation to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library! 🥹
This program has always been a little extra special to me. I received Imagination Library books when I was little, my baby sisters received them, and now my nephew gets his own books in the mail too. I’ve gotten to see firsthand how something as simple as a book showing up with your name on it can become such a special part of childhood.
My late Great Granddaddy Bobby Gene would sit with me and flip through every book when it came in the mail. I can remember running to his sitting chair, jumping up and down, excited to see what came. We’d share a Little Debbie Nutty Buddy and see what Dolly sent us. ❤️
My Do It for Dolly campaign may not have gotten quite as much traction as I originally hoped, but I still wanted to follow through and make a contribution to a program that has given so much to families like mine.

Change is scary, even when you know you're ready for it. 🦋
I've spent a lot of time over the last few weeks thinking about this next chapter and what I want for myself as a stylist. Leaving somewhere I've spent years growing, learning, building relationships, and becoming the stylist I am today isn't something I decided lightly.
I'm incredibly grateful for my time at TLC, for the people I've worked beside, and especially for every single person who has sat in my chair and trusted me with their hair over the years.
But sometimes growing means letting yourself try something new — even when staying where you're comfortable would be easier.
Funny enough, the day I was getting everything finalized for this move, I looked up and found this little guy sitting on my car. 🦋 Maybe it was just a butterfly with excellent timing, but considering they're associated with change and new beginnings… I couldn't help but smile.
I'm nervous. I'm excited. I'm definitely a little emotional. But most of all, I'm ready to see what this next chapter brings.
