I’ve known his mother since middle school. Almost 16 years ago, after reconnecting when I opened Lazarito’s, she trusted me to become her boys’ barber. Those little boys grew up, moved an hour and a half away, and STILL make the drive back to Hialeah to sit in my chair.

Now, her oldest .riveron decided to put the Lazarito’s logo on his sleeve! You spend your life trying to make an impact, never knowing who you’re inspiring along the way! This isn’t just a tattoo it’s a reminder that sometimes the legacy you’re building is bigger than you ever imagined! I don’t take this moment lightly. I’m just a barber who’s been blessed to have a chair that has allowed me to build relationships, earn trust, and be a small part of so many lives! I never expected a logo I created to one day mean enough to someone that they would carry it with them forever! I’m beyond grateful, beyond humbled, and honestly just blessed to be a part of their journey! GOD IS GREAT! And moments like this remind me why I love what I do!

Having the Miami-Dade County Mayor stop by our Back to School event was truly an honor, and I’m grateful she took the time to come out and support our community! It means a lot to see leaders show up in spaces like this, especially when the focus is simply on the kids and families we serve! This event has always been about one thing and that’s bringing people together to put smiles on children’s faces, support families, and invest in the next generation! No matter where anyone comes from or what they believe, moments like this remind us what we can accomplish when we come together for something positive! At the end of the day, it’s about love, service, and showing up where it matters most! So I just want to say thank you to everyone who came out and made this day special especially the Mayor for taking the time to be part of it. It truly means a lot.

Some moments at our Back to School event are hard to put into words and this was one of them! This event has always been about more than backpacks and supplies it’s about showing families they’re not alone and that kindness can change lives! But blessing a family with a car that hit different! And having my son LJ .g drive it up and hand over the keys made it even more special. Watching him learn what giving back really means is a memory I’ll never forget! Huge thank you to Dolphin Used Auto Parts for donating the vehicle, and to Rene Garcia for helping us find the right family to bless. Your hearts are truly appreciated. We may not change the whole world, but if we can change one family’s life, that’s enough for me. This wasn’t just a giveaway it was a reminder that when a community comes together, we can do powerful things!
