“Children with Asperger often notice details others miss. Let’s see the world through their eyes!”
Part 3 💙
When Lucio came into our lives, his big sister Sofia was only 2 years old. From the very first day, she loved him with all her heart. She followed him everywhere, wanted to be close to him, smiled at him, and seemed to understand him in a very special way.
Lucio was different from other children. He did not enjoy playing the way other kids did. He would find something that caught his attention and stay focused on it for hours. While other children ran around or moved from one game to another, Lucio stayed in his own little world, calm, watching, thinking, feeling.
A year after he arrived, his other little sister, Cynthia, was born. Even though Lucio did not show much through words or hugs, he seemed okay. Little by little, in his own way, he began to connect more with his sisters.
He still was not talking, but he started sharing more with them. Sometimes it was simply sitting close to them. Other times it was letting them play beside him. These were small moments that might have seemed ordinary to others, but to us they meant everything.
Sofia and Cynthia learned to love Lucio exactly as he was. They learned that love does not always need words. Even though he never said “I love you,” he showed it in other ways: by staying close, by watching, by sharing his space.
And we learned too that every little step Lucio made was a huge one. That his silence did not mean he did not feel. It only meant that he had his own beautiful way of loving and connecting with the world.

Sometimes children with Asperger’s see the world differently… but that doesn’t mean they feel any less. 💙
They feel deeply, love sincerely, and notice details that many of us miss. This Easter, let’s remember that every child blossoms in their own time and in their own way.
They don’t need to be “like everyone else” to be special. They already are.
Because behind every silence, behind every unique way of expressing themselves, there is a beautiful heart waiting to be understood. 🐣✨

I haven’t forgotten about Lucio’s story.
Part 3 is coming soon, and I’ve been taking my time because some memories are not easy to put into words.

People with Asperger’s often see the world in ways most of us never do.
They notice details we miss. They think deeply, feel deeply, and often have incredible intelligence, creativity, honesty, and talent.
Their minds do not work less—they work differently.
Sometimes the world asks them to fit in, when in reality, we should be learning from the beautiful way they see things.
