50ish Glow

Rebooting...because life called for it.

Working an 8 hour day and supervising virtual school for my two youngest kids IS NOT FOR THE MEEK OR MILD. Last week I spent three days feeling overwhelmed and frustrated, which manifested itself as pure physical exhaustion. I felt like I was hit by a truck. I spent the weekend rearranging the kids workspace, putting together desks, placing WiFi boosters around the house, making sure headsets worked, and wrapping my head around another week as teacher assistant, guidance counselor, cafeteria lady, in-school suspension & detention coordinator, hall monitor, & school nurse. Today went much better...I got up early for some much needed me time before my day got started...the new set up worked better...and the kids did great. I even felt like putting on a little feel good makeup for my 7pm Zoom call. Here’s to week 2...cheers 🍻

Happy Heavenly Father’s Day daddy. Today, while I celebrate the amazing father that my husband is to our children, I also celebrate the guy that was the perfect example of the very thing a father and husband should be, my daddy. Days like today are particularly difficult, but we are able to reminisce and share lots of laughs about the tremendous force our father was.
