Congratulations to our 2023 Queen Merry Christmas, Miss MaKenzee Miller! MaKenzee has earned the prestigious title of Distinguished Young Woman of Winston County, Alabama. This weekend, she participated in a competitive event in Montgomery, facing off against numerous talented young women. She competed in a scholastic portion, an interview, a fitness routine, a talent, and self expression. Her achievement has secured her a spot in the state finals of the Distinguished Young Women of Alabama program in January 2026. Furthermore, MaKenzee received three scholarships as part of her title: the Outstanding Achievement Scholarship (the highest valued scholarship for AUM), the Spirit Scholarship (chosen by her peers), and the Winston County Representative Scholarship. We want to give a special thanks to April Smith Spencer for her dedication to helping MaKenzee with her interview and fitness, and a special thanks to Lisa Barnett Claytor for being her seamstress! We are so proud of MaKenzee!
