I’m thinking about getting my conch pierced next, but I’m not completely sold on it yet🥴

Sometimes it’s not even about what somebody did for you. It’s knowing that they thought enough of you to do it. And when you understand the difference between someone feeling obligated and someone genuinely wanting to, you appreciate things differently💖

Some of us have spent so much time giving people the benefit of the doubt that we stopped giving ourselves that same grace. God gave you discernment, but you still have to learn how to trust it. And no, every feeling isn’t automatically a fact, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore yourself either.

And yes, I checked my homeboy about his behavior🙄I don’t condone that from anybody. But that’s another story.

And that’s why I don’t mind sharing my journey. You never know who needs that reminder that they’re going to be okay too.

You deserve to experience love without feeling like you have to defend yourself from it. But that love shouldn’t come at the expense of making a woman feel small just so you can feel like a man. There’s a woman out there who genuinely wants to love you, respect you, and be soft with you. But you have to create a space where she feels safe enough to do that. Sometimes healing means recognizing that the woman in front of you isn’t the woman who hurt you. You deserve that healing just as much as you deserve that love💖
