A New Chapter for Braids by Tricia Topey 💜
I’m excited to share that Braids by Tricia Topey is transitioning from a salon suite to a private, home-based salon setting.
Although the location is changing, my commitment to providing quality natural hair care and protective styling is not.
My new space is being created specifically to provide clients with a clean, comfortable, organized and more personal one-on-one experience — without the busy atmosphere of a traditional salon.
Services will continue to be by appointment only, and my regular booking policies will still apply. For privacy and safety, the exact address will only be provided to confirmed clients before their appointment.
This transition is a new beginning for my business, and I’m taking my time to create a space that reflects the experience I want my clients to have.
Same stylist. Same hands. Same care. New setting. 💜

POLICY:
⸻ No entourage- just the client and the client’s parent / guardian
~ A 50% deposit is required upon booking and will be applied to your final balance. This deposit is non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please give at least [24/48] hours' notice to transfer your deposit to a new date. Refunds are only issued if the appointment is cancelled on my end.
If weather affects travel, clients may reschedule ONCE using the same deposit, as long as they notify me before their appointment start time.
If no notice is given, the appointment is treated as a no-call/no-show, and a new deposit will be required.
**I do not accommodate holds. Instead, I operate on a first-come, first-served basis, where the date and time are secured by the first individual to place a deposit. **
~NO CALL , NO SHOW or arriving 10 minutes late will result to cancellation or a $30 fee towards the rescheduling of your appointment.
~Please arrive with your hair freshly washed clean, detangled and blown dry. If not, your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
~Have payment on you before services begin. Payment for service is due by the end of services and before exiting the premises.
ISO: A recline salon chair or a person who knows how to install one.
Behind my chair is a person with bills, children, responsibilities, and struggles people may never see. 💜
I love helping my clients look and feel good, but being a stylist doesn’t make me exempt from hard times. Slow bookings, cancellations, transportation problems, and family responsibilities can affect my income while expenses keep coming.
Having to give up my suite doesn’t erase my talent, dedication, or years of hard work. I had to make a difficult decision to regain stability and give myself room to rebuild.
I’m sharing this because other stylists may be facing similar challenges. There’s a whole life behind the services you book, and sometimes the person caring for your hair needs a little grace, too. 💜
💜 Client Update — Braids by Tricia Topey
I am no longer providing services at United Studios.
I’m considering offering select services from home. Availability and service details will be confirmed individually by text. Shampoo services would not be available, so clients would need to arrive with freshly washed and fully detangled hair.
Please text me with booking questions, and wait for confirmation before sending a deposit.
