Arkansas River in Salida, Colorado yesterday evening.

War doesn’t ask a child what side they’re on. It doesn’t care what language they speak, what God they pray to, or what flag flies above their home. It only leaves behind silence where laughter once lived, toys abandoned in the dust, empty classrooms, shattered families, and futures stolen before they ever had a chance to begin. The greatest tragedy of war is not only the destruction of buildings. It is the destruction of innocence. The little hands that should be holding crayons are covered in dust. The eyes that should be filled with wonder have witnessed horrors no child should ever know. This piece is not meant to be comfortable. It is meant to confront us with a question we cannot keep avoiding: How many more innocent children must suffer before humanity remembers its own humanity? If this image breaks your heart, it should. Because somewhere in our world, this isn’t art. It is someone’s reality. I will continue to use my art to speak for those whose voices are buried beneath the rubble. Innocence should never be collateral damage. Child Model Emma Video @cat_daddy_j #ArtAsResistance #HumanityFirst #ProtectChildren 07/04/2026
